Amityville: Dollhouse

Bill and Claire Martin begin their life in a newly built home. They feel hopeful about the fresh start and settle into their routine with Jessica and Jimmy. The house's quiet mood hints that something unsettled lies beneath the surface.

Bill discovers a dollhouse in the shed, modeled after the Amityville house. He carries it into the main house and places it in the garage, curious but uneasy. The object seems harmless at first, but it quickly exerts an ominous presence.

That first night, the fireplace ignites by itself and heats the entire house. Bill has a disturbing vision of Jessica burning in the flames, jolting him awake. The incident plants the first seeds of fear about the home’s true nature.

Claire finds the dollhouse again in the garage the next morning and proposes giving it to Jessica for her birthday. Their car had rolled forward overnight, wrecking the gift they’d planned. The dollhouse becomes a disturbing focal point of the day.

Jessica’s birthday party centers on the dollhouse, which she opens to reveal a chest of miniature dolls. She’s thrilled by the discovery, while Aunt Marla and Uncle Tobias seem inexplicably nervous around the toys. The family’s veneer of happiness begins to crack.

In the days that follow, Jimmy’s pet mouse goes missing and somehow ends up inside the dollhouse. Jessica, meanwhile, is confronted by a massive white mouse hiding under her bed. The dolls’ influence threads into the children’s fears.

Claire begins to experience unexpected sexual urges toward Todd, Bill’s teenage son, and fantasizes about him during intimate moments with Bill. The emotional strain in the house mounts as boundaries blur.

Dana suffers a devastating accident when her hair catches fire, leaving her in a coma. Todd blames the fireplace’s faulty coil for the disaster, fearing the house’s hidden power. The incident becomes a turning point that forces the family to confront the truth.

Marla and Tobias, who practice magic, steal one of Jessica’s dolls and perform a ritual that frees Gamigin, a demon from the dollhouse. Objects fly around the house and Marla is injured; Tobias impales the doll, ending the immediate spectacle.

Claire discovers a bruise on Jimmy, and Jimmy tries to warn her that his father threatened him, but she doesn’t believe him. The zombie of Bill’s late husband appears and binds Claire and Jimmy to the fireplace, heightening the danger.

Bill and Tobias enter the fireplace to confront the demons inside. They rescue Jessica, while the demons drag Tobias away; the encounter makes clear that the fireplace is a portal to the dollhouse.

Bill hurls the dollhouse into the fireplace, destroying it. The house explodes behind them as they flee in their car, signaling a dramatic but imperfect ending where the danger is momentarily extinguished.
