Alien 2: On Earth

Thelma Joyce appears on a talk show to discuss caves, captivating the audience with her passion. During the broadcast she experiences a disturbing psychic vision that hints at a coming disaster. The segment unfolds as the world waits for news about the astronauts' return.

Shortly after the interview, news arrives that the spacecraft has returned to Earth with its occupants missing. A girl on a beach discovers a strange blue pulsating rock and pockets it. Her mother soon finds the girl with her face ripped off.

Thelma and Roy meet up with friends for a trip to explore a cave, preparing gear for the expedition. Burt discovers a blue rock in his pack and decides to keep it. The rock will prove connected to the forthcoming danger.

The group arrives at the cave and rappels to the bottom, setting up camp for the night. Thelma senses doom and warns Roy, who tries to calm her down as darkness falls. The cave environment begins to feel unfamiliar and menacing.

The next day Jill discovers the pulsating blue rock Burt found and it opens to reveal a creature that attacks her face. Thelma witnesses the attack in panic, and Roy decides to go find Jill's body. The group braces for the danger inside the cave.

Roy rappels down and finds Jill alive but unconscious, and the group lowers her to the surface to be attended. As they attempt to ascend, a creature erupts from Jill's face and attacks a group member, decapitating him.

The group retreats and splits to search for a way out, but their efforts prove futile. Maurine stumbles upon a seemingly living wall that drags her into it, killing her, and Burt dies in a failed attempt to save her.

Thelma telepathically warns Cliff of a nearby alien after their radio goes dead, but Cliff is killed by the intruder. The danger intensifies as the group tries to map a path to safety.

Thelma discovers that Cliff is an alien in disguise and uses her abilities to explode the impostor's head, revealing the alien's true form. The remaining alien attacks another member as Thelma and Roy barely escape.

Thelma and Roy manage to outrun the alien and escape the caves, emerging on the surface. They encounter a police car on the road but find no officers inside, heightening the sense of isolation.

As they head toward the city, they stop at the roadside cafe again, only to find it abandoned. Roy attempts to call for help on a payphone, but there is no operator available.

Arriving in the city, Thelma and Roy discover it eerily empty, including a bowling alley they had seen before. Roy is killed by an alien waiting there, and Thelma runs through the deserted streets seeking help. The screen cuts to text stating 'You may be next!', signaling that the aliens have taken over Earth.
