Eric Matthew Daniels, a former army ranger, finds himself in an incredibly dangerous situation as he drives across the Tobin Memorial Bridge in Boston with his 16-year-old sister, Maddie. Their journey is abruptly halted due to traffic when police are transporting prisoner Samantha “Doc” Brown. The unexpected chaos ensues as revolutionists led by Jimmy launch an attack, employing explosives to tear the bridge apart, effectively throwing the motorists into a state of panic.

In the wake of the explosive attack, Eric quickly contacts 911, desperately urging them to send SWAT due to the escalating chaos. Unfortunately, he struggles to convey the urgency of the situation to the dispatchers. Meanwhile, the revolutionists display their ruthlessness by killing the police transport driver and taking control of the bridge, threatening the trapped civilians and confiscating their cell phones. They tie the drivers’ hands to the steering wheels with zip ties, creating an atmosphere of terror amongst the hostages.

Eric is not one to back down; he manages to free himself and confronts one of the revolutionists, fatally stabbing Tango in an act of self-defense. The tale takes a twist as Galotti is exposed as a ‘mole,’ receiving praise from Jimmy for facilitating the revolutionary plans. In a surprising turn of events, Doc Brown cleverly manages to steal keys from Mr. Wisdom, unlocking her shackles but deciding against escaping.

The situation intensifies as Jimmy uses a bazooka to take down a news helicopter, further complicating law enforcement’s efforts. As he broadcasts the tumultuous scene live on the website freedomrevolutions.org, he coldly executes Galotti, prompting Eric to connect with Maddie through a recovered cellphone. Amidst the chaos, he bravely takes down another guard near Doc’s vehicle, establishing a glimmer of hope.

The violence draws an alarming audience, with Jimmy’s video of the hostage crisis reaching over 10 million views. He seizes the opportunity to negotiate with the police, making ransom demands tied to Doc’s earlier accusations against a military squad. As tensions rise, Eric takes decisive action, getting Maddie out of harm’s way and facing challenges head-on, including freeing Doc from her captivity before chaos erupts again.

As Jimmy aggressively searches for Eric, he uses drones to uncover his target’s whereabouts. In a daring move, Eric attempts to leap across a gap in the bridge on a motorcycle with Maddie, only to be thwarted by Jimmy’s destructive tactics that further damage the structure. Eric and Maddie take refuge below the bridge, where they uncover a stash of explosives, leading Maddie to urgently plead for Eric to help the hostages.

In a desperate attempt to save her, Eric finds himself in a precarious negotiation with Jimmy, who forces Maddie to speak with her brother, leading Eric to surrender.

Jimmy’s manipulative tactics reach a shocking peak as he coerces Doc into reading a confession on camera that implicates her former allegiances, linking her actions to the military operations. However, Eric is not out of options yet and seizes an opening to confront Jimmy. In the ensuing struggle, Maddie escapes, but Doc is tragically shot in the chaos. Eric fights back, overpowering Jimmy, who unveils his desperate plan involving additional explosives.

In a dramatic resolution, Eric executes a bold maneuver, utilizing a gun to press the gas pedal of a truck, sending it crashing down onto Jimmy and triggering the explosives, resulting in a catastrophic end for Jimmy and his team.
