Adam Joan

Adam Joan Pothen is a rich Kerala businessman with a passion for farming. He marries Amy after meeting her in Scotland, and Amy conceives but is forced to stay there. Adam returns to Kerala on plantation business, while Amy remains in Scotland; after her death, he leaves Ila with his brother and sister-in-law and never visits her for years.
