Priyan, a middle‑aged man weighed down by mounting debt, faces a family crisis that pushes him to the brink. His mother lies hospitalized, and his sister Minimol stays by her side, but medical bills keep piling up. Desperate for help, Priyan knocks on the doors of friends and relatives, yet the shadow of debt looms large and no one dares to lend. In a flicker of possibility, a man named Sojan offers assistance, but only on one condition: Priyan must provide a guarantee cheque. With that fragile promise, they plan to meet at dawn to exchange money and the cheque and hope for relief.

At the bus station, Priyan waits, his nerves taut and his thoughts spinning. Sojan’s delay stretches into hours, and a chance encounter jolts the routine of the day. Prince enters the scene—a wealthy, carefree young man whose life is filled with excess and reckless abandon. Prince moves through the world with a swagger that masks a fractured relationship with his own family, especially his father, who has withdrawn financial support. Despite his flaws, Prince extends an invitation to Priyan for a spontaneous bus ride, arguing that waiting for money is a waste of precious time. Reluctantly, Priyan accepts, drawn by the lure of a distraction from his grim predicament.

Their journey leads them to a place that feels familiar to Prince, where a large clothing store stands as a backdrop to his latest plans. It becomes clear that Prince is there to reconnect with Hema, his ex‑girlfriend, whose gaze is coolly skeptical of his endless drinking and capriciousness. The store staff mirrors her sentiment, turning Prince away for the same reason. Priyan speaks with Hema, who makes it plain that she will meet Prince only when he is sober. That night, the two men check into a luxury hotel, and while Prince drifts into sleep, Priyan finds a strange comfort in the room’s quiet luxury, a temporary shelter from the storm outside.

The following day brings a turning point. Priyan intervenes to keep Prince from slipping back into drinking, and they head to meet Hema with a sober, earnestly renewed effort to face the past. The conversation forces both of them to confront a shared history—the accident that altered Hema’s life and left Prince bedridden for months. In the honesty of that exchange, they find a sense of closure, parting on better terms than before. Prince, now grateful for Priyan’s unwavering presence, continues traveling with him, even as he spends the rest of his money on the unsteady journey.

Yet money remains the constant drumbeat of their days. As funds dwindle, Prince’s attempts to borrow more are thwarted by his father’s refusal to help. Priyan, too, reveals the gravity of his mother’s situation, hoping for a bit of relief that would ease the path forward. In a moment of attempted charity, Prince asks his wife, Rini, to transfer ₹50,000 to Priyan, but she declines, worn down by Prince’s recent absence from home. With no other recourse, the pair choose to part ways, and Priyan heads back toward the hospital, carrying the weight of his mother’s condition.

In a surprising turn, Prince returns with a rented car, offering to help Priyan reach the hospital and to seek funds along the way. They visit Prince’s sister and her husband—the Mayor of Kochi—but even this political doorway closes, and they are turned away. Exhausted and with a driver growing impatient, Priyan reaches out to Sojan again. Sojan can only lend ₹10,000, and most of it goes to the driver, leaving the two men stranded on the roadside. Despite Sojan urging Priyan to abandon Prince, Priyan’s loyalty does not waver, and he refuses to desert his drunken friend.

That night they sleep by the roadside and awaken to find themselves near Prince’s own home. They part ways with a mixture of relief and resolve: Priyan heads toward the hospital to see his mother, while Prince makes his way home. Then a message arrives—Rini has transferred ₹50,000 to Priyan’s account. Overjoyed, Priyan rushes back to find Prince, and their moment of relief is tempered by the reality of the long road ahead. In the end, Priyan moves forward with renewed hope, buoyed by a small fortune that has given his mother a chance—and by the knowledge that friendship, even when tested by hardship, can still carry him through.
