A Colt Is My Passport

Kamimura carries out the hit on Boss Shimazu at his home while Shimazu is meeting with Senzaki. The assassination is the opening move in the contract to eliminate Shimazu for embezzlement. The act sets off a violent chain of retaliation that drives the rest of the story.

Kamimura and Shun attempt to leave the country by plane, but their plan is thwarted when Shimazu's men waylay them and take them into custody. The failed escape turns them into wanted fugitives rather than free travelers.

While in custody, they manage to escape by using a second brake hidden behind the driver's seat, which Shun had installed earlier. The brake triggers a sudden stop that kills Shimazu's men and buys them time to flee. They bolt away from their pursuers into the night.

Nozaki orders the duo to hide out at the truck stop Hotel Nagisakan and wait for further instructions. The pair begins a fragile footing in a dangerous game as they try to stay one step ahead of their pursuers.

During their stay, they form a connection with Mina, the overworked waitress at Nagisakan. She becomes a potential ally and a wary confidante as the situation grows more volatile.

That night, more gunmen under Shimazu's lieutenant arrive to finish the job. They don't find the fugitives, who have bribed a patron to drive them to another motel.

The next day, Miyoshi, Shimazu's enforcer, intercepts them and forces their ferry to depart early. Kamimura and Shun appear in the truck they rode in, run over the hitman, and discover the ferry has already left.

Back at Nagisakan, Kamimura drugs Shun with a sleeping pill while Mina directs him to a freighter captain willing to smuggle the three out of the country. The plan is risky and underscores how far they must go to escape.

Tsugawa brokers a peace deal between Senzaki and Shimazu's son, who has succeeded his father as boss. Kamimura is ordered to be eliminated as part of the new agreement.

Shun is kidnapped again at Nagisakan. Mina retrieves him, but Senzaki phones to order Kamimura to meet with a henchman. Kamimura negotiates a three-hour window that would release Shun in exchange for himself.

The exchange goes as planned and the ship sails away without Kamimura. He learns he will be executed at a landfill the next morning, and spends the day devising a plan to fight back, including testing a bulletproof car.

Kamimura builds a bomb and digs a ditch to hide in so he can plant the device on the car. He fights off the gunmen, then detonates the bomb under the car. The vehicle explodes, killing Senzaki, Shimazu, and Tsugawa; Kamimura is wounded and limps away, ending the film.
