Kabir (Abhay Deol) has recently met Natasha (Kalki Koechlin), and their connection quickly blossoms into a serious relationship. Kabir is an architect working at his father’s construction company in Mumbai, while Natasha is an interior designer. After six months of dating, they become engaged, but Kabir desires a final celebration with his friends before settling down. He plans a three-week road trip with his best friends—Imran (Farhan Akhtar) and Arjun (Hrithik Roshan), two successful men from different backgrounds, who have been close since their school days.

Initially, Arjun is too busy with work to join, but after much persuasion and emotional blackmail, the trio sets out on the adventure they had postponed four years earlier. This trip holds a special promise: during their journey, each friend will choose an adventurous activity that they will undertake together, deepening their bond and adding excitement to the trip. Natasha’s friends, however, warn her to be cautious about the wild nature of these “boys’ trips,” and Natasha begins to suspect that there may be more going on behind the scenes.

The friends meet up in Barcelona, embarking on a route through Costa Brava, Seville, and Pamplona. Early on, tension surfaces as Imran takes Kabir aside to show him works of an artist named Salman Habib—an influential figure living in Spain. During their plans to visit Costa Brava, conflict arises when Arjun continues working on his phone while driving, prompting Imran to take drastic action by grabbing Arjun’s phone and tossing it out of the moving vehicle. This sparks a heated argument where Arjun accuses Imran of being unfaithful to his then-girlfriend, Sonali, four years earlier. Kabir intervenes, urging them to focus on their friendship rather than past grievances, as the original trip was interrupted by personal issues—most notably Sonali’s departure from Imran.

Meanwhile, Kabir’s gift of a luxurious bag for Natasha, costing 12,000 Euros, sparks jealousy and tension, especially as they navigate their close-knit group. The friends agree to try new activities, with Kabir signing them up for deep-sea diving despite Arjun’s fear of water. Laila (Katrina Kaif), a confident Anglo-Indian fashion student and diving instructor, especially shows concern for Arjun, who has yet to learn to swim. During their dives, Arjun begins to discover a newfound appreciation for life’s pleasures, recalling how his recent relationship ended because he couldn’t dedicate enough time to his partner.

The trip takes a lively turn when Laila invites everyone to the upcoming Tomatina festival, which she plans to attend next. This disrupts Arjun’s plans, but he chooses to go with the group. During the festivities, a new character, Nuria (Ariadna Cabrol), joins the friends, and Imran begins to develop an interest in her—especially after they share an intimate moment. Meanwhile, Laila and Arjun experience their own connection, opening up about their feelings and past mistakes. Laila, sensing a mutual attraction, impulsively shares a passionate kiss with Arjun before they part ways, leaving Arjun feeling more at peace and more receptive to embracing life.

Back at the villa, Natasha confronts Kabir about her suspicions regarding his relationship with Laila. Kabir insists that Laila is just a friend invited over for dinner, but Natasha remains suspicious and upset. Her doubts are reinforced when she joins the trip and sees Kabir interacting warmly with the others. Feeling overwhelmed, Natasha decides to stay and eventually joins the group at the festival.

As the adventure continues, the friends’ dynamic grows more complicated. They eventually reach Seville, where they experience skydiving—a choice made by Arjun, who faces his fears. Imran, despite his own acrophobia, pushes himself to participate, symbolizing his commitment to living fully. Afterward, they gather in a bar and indulge in drinking, but a childish prank on a stranger leads to their arrest, forcing the friends to confront their reckless behavior. It is during this period that Imran decides to reveal a deeply personal secret: Salman Habib (Naseeruddin Shah) is his biological father.

Salman, a renowned artist living in Spain, is proud of Imran’s hidden talent for writing but reveals that he has no interest in marriage or children, which deeply hurts Imran. Salman’s refusal to apologize for his past actions prompts Imran to leave in anger. Later, Imran sincerely apologizes to Arjun for past mistakes, and Arjun forgives him, demonstrating their strengthened friendship.

Their journey then takes them to Pamplona, famous for the running of the bulls, which Imran suggests as yet another daring activity. This challenge reveals their growth and renewed zest for life. Imran also reaches out to Laila, who joins them in Pamplona, and during the run, he shares a promise with his friends: if they survive, they will each pursue their personal dreams—Imran vows to publish his poetry, Arjun to follow Laila to Morocco and live authentically, and Kabir to confess to Natasha that he is not yet ready for marriage.

The trip culminates in a heartfelt celebration with the wedding of Arjun and Laila, signifying a new chapter for everyone. Kabir and Natasha have parted ways, but they remain friends, with Natasha introducing her new partner to Kabir. Imran’s poetry gains recognition when it gets published, fulfilling his dream of sharing his literary voice with the world. Throughout this journey, each character experiences growth, reconciliation, and a deeper understanding of themselves and their relationships, making the adventure one of self-discovery and embracing the unpredictability of life.
