Yaaradi Nee Mohini

Vasu, a youth from a middle-class family, keeps applying for jobs but is repeatedly rejected due to poor English and weak qualifications. He watches his friends settle into stable careers while he remains unemployed. His father, and his friends Cheenu and Ganesh, try to support him, but the job market remains harsh.

Vasu spots Keerthi, a short-tempered woman who works at a software firm, and instantly falls for her. He learns she is part of a software solutions company, which gives him a glimmer of hope for a future together. The attraction sets the stage for growing emotional tension.

After surviving several interviews, Vasu lands a job at the same software firm where Keerthi works. This creates a situation where work life and romance begin to intertwine. He feels closer to her, even though she remains distant.

On a business trip to Australia with Keerthi and two colleagues, Vasu confesses his love. Keerthi rejects him, citing her Orthodox family and an arranged marriage already arranged by her uncle. The rejection shatters his confidence and triggers his depression.

Back in India, Vasu's father decides to meet Keerthi to advocate for their son’s happiness. Keerthi lashes out, humiliating both men by verbally abusing them and slapping them. That night, Vasu's father dies of a heart attack, leaving Vasu devastated.

Cheenu persuades Vasu to visit his family country house to lift his spirits. The plan is to give him space and a sense of belonging among loved ones. The journey begins with a train ride that will reveal new family dynamics.

On the way to Cheenu's family home, it is revealed that Keerthi is actually Cheenu's fiancée. This revelation complicates loyalties and casts a new light on the looming wedding arrangements. The two families begin to grapple with this secret.

Cheenu and Keerthi abandon their arranged path and decide to forge their own identities instead of following their grandfather’s wishes. Grandfather is hurt by the change, but understands that time is needed.

A few days later, Keerthi and Cheenu's parents decide to marry them off to appease their grandfather and restore family harmony. The arrangement shifts the focus back to tradition and acceptance.

Keerthi finally realises she loves Vasu, and Vasu asks her to forget him for the sake of their families. Cheenu overhears their midnight conversation, triggering a frantic attempt to control the wedding situation.

At the wedding, Cheenu pressures the couple to confess. When they hesitate, Cheenu lies that he has a secret wife in Chennai, hoping to force a confession. Vasu then reveals the truth, and the couple is cast out of the house.

Left with nothing, Vasu is joined only by the house's grandmother, who reminds him of his late father and decides to stay with him for support. This marks a turning point in his resolve to build a life with Keerthi.

Soon, the rest of Keerthi and Cheenu's family come to stay with Vasu for a few days, though the grandfather remains distant, still angry and needing time to change. The film ends with Vasu and Keerthi together, building a hopeful life despite the obstacles.
