Madhumati “Madhu” is the daughter of MLA Suryanarayana, a stern man whose attachment to power shapes home life. Genelia D’Souza plays Madhumati, a determined medical student who keeps her MBBS goals in sharp focus and resists romantic entanglements that might derail her path.

During a medical camp in Araku Valley, Madhu’s world expands when she meets Bunny Bhasker, a witty and resourceful young man. Bunny Bhasker, Allu Arjun, later arrives in Hyderabad, taking a job as a pizza-delivery boy while he continues his MBA through evening classes. When Surya misreads Madhu’s relationship with Bunny, he pushes for her marriage to DCP Arvind, a move that strains the family’s already delicate balance. Madhu remains steadfast about her studies, blaming Bunny for the pressure to wed and marriage plans that threaten her independence. In return, Bunny devises a plan to derail the match and even goes to Arvind to pretend he is in love with Madhu. Arvind, convinced by Bunny’s lie, cancels the wedding, aggressively angering Surya.

Undeterred, Surya schemes to bind Madhu to his friend’s son Subba Rao. He then involves Arvind again, delivering a marriage invitation that leads to a surprising turn: Arvind facilitates a quick registrar’s office marriage between Madhu and Bunny—while also offering them a new flat. This impulsive arrangement drives a wedge between Madhu and her family, and she ends up sharing a home with Bunny, who himself loses his job in the process. As the days pass, their life together is punctuated by misadventures and lighthearted chaos, and Bunny slowly falls in love with Madhu. With her family estranged and fees piling up, Madhu receives unexpected support from Bunny, who transforms into an action choreographer in the film industry to fund her remaining semester.

Madhu’s academic journey hits a snag when she scores poorly in a subject and faces negative feedback from a professor. To keep her studies on track, she pushes Bunny away and asks him to leave. Yet she ultimately graduates with honors from her MBBS program, a milestone she reveals to a close friend on the day of her ceremony. The friend then discloses Bunny’s sacrifices for her education, including his plan to return home to Vishakhapatnam, a truth Bunny had asked not to be revealed. Filled with remorse, Madhu sets out to reconcile with Bunny at the railway station.

On the journey there, Madhu is unexpectedly arrested for prostitution after inadvertently giving a lift to a sex worker; the arrest is carried out by Surya’s nemesis, ACP Ratnam, Kishore. Surya storms the station to defend his daughter, but both he and Ratnam are pulled into the confrontation. With a cell phone provided by one of the inmates, Madhu gets a message to Bunny, who arrives just as Ratnam reappears with a violent glare. Bunny and Ratnam clash in a brutal struggle that draws in the police, until DCP Arvind intervenes and orders them to leave. In the end, Bunny and Madhu are reunited and step forward together toward their future.
