Within the Woods

Two teenage couples, Ellen with Bruce and Scotty with Shelly, travel to a remote cabin for a weekend together. The secluded woods promise privacy and a chance to unwind, so they settle in with a simple plan to relax and bond. The mood is carefree as they unpack, set up, and settle into a routine of games and conversation.

Ellen and Bruce wander the woods for a picnic while the others stay at the cabin. Bruce mentions that they are camping on an Indian burial ground, and Ellen worries about disturbing the dead. Bruce scoffs at superstition and pockets an ancient dagger he discovers among relics.

After returning to the cabin, Ellen naps and later wakes to find Bruce missing. She ventures into the woods and discovers Bruce's mutilated corpse with multiple knife wounds. A demonic presence watches from the trees as she races back to the cabin, begging to be let in while unseen forces close in.

Back inside, Ellen tells Scotty and Shelly that Bruce has been murdered, but Scotty brushes it off as a prank and refuses to take it seriously. Shelly and Ellen grow increasingly worried as Scotty fails to return, and the group senses danger nearby. The tension tightens as the evening darkens around them.

Shelly goes outside to search for Bruce and Scotty, leaving Ellen behind. In the darkness, a possessed Bruce attacks and strangles Shelly, stabbing her with the dagger and muttering a dark summons as she dies. The group is left reeling from the sudden, brutal betrayal.

Inside the cabin, Ellen encounters the possessed Bruce and flees to a locked room, grabbing knives to defend herself. Something outside tries to force entry, and in the panic she blindly stabs out, hitting Scotty who has just returned. Scotty bleeds as terror fills the room.

The possessed Bruce attacks again, and Ellen manages to trap him outside while he bleeds from several stab wounds to the hand. The already wary Scotty tells Ellen to check the cellar for the gun they brought. Ellen hurries toward the stairs, fear guiding every step.

Ellen descends into the cellar and finds the gun, but trips on a broken step and injures her leg. She crawls back upstairs only to discover that Scotty has been stabbed to death. The menace in the house tightens its grip as the danger seems closer than ever.

The demonic Bruce attacks Ellen in the living area, and she fights back, cutting off his hand with the dagger. Blood sprays as she manages to fend him off and momentarily gain the upper hand in the brutal struggle.

Ellen attempts to flee, but Bruce's supernatural strength keeps him on her trail as he thrashes her around the cabin. In a desperate act, she drives the dagger into him again and again, ending the direct threat for a moment before the carnage continues.

Traumatized and enraged, Ellen seizes an axe and brutally mutilates Bruce's body, severing limbs as the demonic influence seems to blur reality. She staggers through the cabin, muttering to herself in a disturbed trance, surrounded by the aftermath of violence.

From the corpse of Scotty, the dead thing suddenly rises and turns toward Ellen, intensifying the horror she has endured. The scene cuts to black with Ellen's fate and the cabin's future left ominously unresolved.
