Walter Vetrivel

Walter Vetrivel, an IPS officer, is drawn to Sumathi, a dancer who helps disabled children. He falls in love with her after witnessing her compassion. They become engaged to be married, setting the stage for a life-and-death struggle ahead.

Sumathi is a dancer and a witness to a gang that films people being raped. Her testimony marks her as a target for the criminals. Walter vows to protect her at all costs.

Walter's younger brother fears Sumathi has seen him taking a photographer's shot and leaks the information to the villains. The criminals know where Sumathi is hidden, placing her in grave danger. Walter feels the sting of family betrayal as the threat closes in.

The gang brutally assaults Sumathi, leaving her blind. The act shatters the couple's plans and tests Walter's resolve to protect her. The attack becomes a catalyst for the ensuing battles between crime and justice.

Rayappa, a policeman under Walter, helps the villains escape from jail. Walter discovers Rayappa's lies and deep corruption. Rayappa resigns from the police and later climbs into politics, becoming a minister.

Sumathi becomes pregnant, and though she fears the loss of sight, the doctor says an expert ophthalmologist can restore her vision. The family clings to the hope that the baby will bring happiness and a future where she can see. The sense of foreboding remains, but hope persists.

Walter's brother plots to poison Sumathi by tampering with milk. Sumathi ends up giving the poison to the child, which dies as a result. The act deepens the family trauma and fuels Walter's anger toward his own kin.

Walter is assigned as special security for Rayappa's stage speech. While Sumathi's eye operation is underway, Walter senses an imminent attack and warns Rayappa. In response, Rayappa humiliates him on stage, triggering a chaotic confrontation as coolie rowdies set the stage on fire.

Sumathi's eye operation is completed and her bandages are removed. She regains her eyesight and, in a family photo, identifies the photographer as Walter's brother. The revelation confirms who betrayed them.

A villain named Swamy enters the scene; Walter defeats Swamy and his henchmen. At the same time, Rayappa receives a note from Walter signaling the ongoing conflict. The public sentiment shifts in Walter's favor.

Walter's brother ambushes him, holding a child hostage on a rooftop. In a decisive act, Walter shoots his own brother to save the child. The film ends with Walter carrying his brother's corpse as justice is pursued.
