A probe from the Life Foundation, engaged in seeking new habitable planets, discovers a comet rich in symbiotic lifeforms. The retrieval of four samples sets off a chain of events that will have far-reaching consequences for humanity.

While transporting the samples back to Earth, an accident causes one of the symbiotic samples to escape. The crash results in a major incident in Malaysia, where search teams are dispatched but fail to recover the escaped symbiote.

Amid the wreckage, one astronaut survives the crash and is rushed into an ambulance for emergency medical care. However, unbeknownst to the rescuers, a dormant symbiote within the astronaut awakens and takes over his body.

The newly awakened symbiote instantly wreaks havoc, resulting in the destruction of the ambulance as it asserts dominion over its host. This showcases the unpredictable and dangerous nature of the symbiotic lifeform.

Investigative journalist Eddie Brock uncovers fraudulent human trial data linked to his fiancée, Anne Weying. Determined to confront Drake, Brock accuses him of exploiting vulnerable populations for his cruel experiments.

Brock's confrontation with Drake leads to severe repercussions, costing both him and Weying their jobs. The relationship grows strained, and they ultimately break up, highlighting the personal toll of Brock's investigation.
