Mahendra Varma returns from Kuwait and becomes obsessed with Indu, sensing more than mortal beauty in her. His infatuation quickly grows into dangerous desire as he tries to possess her. The family realizes the spirit's power over the living.

Valliyankattu Thirumeni reveals the era when Lakshmipuram faced Tipu Sultan’s advances and betrayal at the hands of Manavedan. The British-backed powers demanded Indumathi Devi as a pawn in a cruel political game. The past begins to bleed into the present.

Manavedan betrays Indumathi and later beheads her to satisfy the political cruelty of that era. Ammu is buried alive with her mother as vengeance is sealed in history. The palace's sins echo through generations.
