Viswanathan Menon, a retired Supreme Court Chief Justice, returns home with his wife to celebrate Vishu. The family gathers for a weekend of quiet togetherness, hoping to enjoy tranquil retirement.

Arun Kumar, Menon’s grandson and a medical student, is accused of murdering a fellow student. SP Antony Punnekkadan, who bears a grudge against Menon’s children, moves to take Arun into custody.

Arun goes into hiding to evade arrest, but Antony tracks him down and seizes him from his hideout. The confrontation sets the stage for a high-stakes legal and personal battle.

Ramesh Nambiar, a renowned criminal lawyer, is hired to bail Arun out of prison. He secures Arun’s release, triggering political and familial tensions.

Vinod Bhaskar, a doctor and professor, intends to testify against Arun but is kidnapped by Karinkal Peethambaran, a thug hired by Menon’s children. The abduction heightens the pressure on the case and foreshadows deeper conspiracies.

Arun is murdered in the ensuing chaos, and Antony arrests Devan, a poor trader who happened to be at the scene. The arrest adds another layer of mystery to the case.

Devan’s sister and mother insist he is innocent, prompting Ramesh to take the case. He begins to scrutinize the evidence, moving beyond surface appearances.

Devaraja Prathapa Varma initially pretends to help but soon reveals himself as the killer. He confesses that he manipulated Ramesh as retribution for Arun’s actions.

Devaraja explains that his brother Karthik Varma was killed by Arun and his cousins Mahindran and Ganeshan, setting off a feud that now pits Devaraja against Ramesh. The conflict moves beyond a single case to personal vendetta.

Devaraja tries to kill the remaining relatives involved, and Ramesh sets a covert trap. Devaraja escapes custody briefly but is later recaptured by Antony.

Vinod explains the truth about the murder at Bangalore Medical College, revealing Devaraja’s connection to the case and altering Ramesh’s understanding of the crime.

Ashwathy, Ramesh’s sister and a medical student, witnesses Arun killing a girl at the school. Arun and his cousins capture her and inject morphine to kill her, but she survives and falls into a coma; Karthik Varma, Ashwathy’s boyfriend, dies trying to help.

Devaraja escapes with police help and kills Ganeshan; Ramesh and Devaraja kill Mahindran; Antony kills Madhavan. The case is eventually abandoned when Antony lets them walk free, believing they would escape anyway.
