Su Can, a skilled general, starts a military campaign to rescue a captured prince from a formidable mountain stronghold. This campaign showcases Su's bravery and commitment to his duties, setting the stage for his relationship with the prince.

After Su successfully rescues the prince, he is rewarded with a promise that the prince will make him the governor of Hubei. Su's achievements are acknowledged, but his stepbrother Yuan’s envy of his success begins to fester.

Despite being offered the governor position, Su chooses to pass it to Yuan and dreams of leaving the military. He aspires to master wushu and establish his own school, symbolizing his desire for peace and personal growth.

Fast forwarding five years, Su is now living a peaceful life with his wife Ying and their child Feng. However, disturbing news of Yuan’s return, motivated by past resentments, looms over the family.

A festive gathering takes place as Yuan returns, reuniting with Su, Ying, and Feng. Tension rises when Su’s father, aware of Yuan’s vengeful nature, pleads for Yuan to spare Su's family while seeking retribution.

In a shocking turn of events, Yuan kills Su’s father using the Five Venom Fists. This brutal act reveals Yuan's dark intentions to claim his sister Ying and her child, sealing a path of vengeance and tragedy.
