  8. Two Hostile Gangs Clash

The story unfolds against the backdrop of two hostile Oddsockeater gangs whose rivalry grows ever more intense. Their conflict becomes a clash of two generations and two opposing moral codes in a curious human-like world. Hihlík, caught between them, must decide where he truly belongs.

  9. The Professor Becomes the Biggest Opponent

A weirdo known as the abandoned Professor emerges as the biggest opponent of the Oddsockeaters. His strange presence threatens the fate of all the main protagonists, both the gangs and Hihlík's new family. The confrontation with this peculiar enemy pushes the adventure to its limits.

  10. Hihlík Faces a Heavy Moral Dilemma

Hihlík is confronted with the two basic rules of the Oddsockeaters: 'Never take a couple' and 'Stay people, but stay away from them.' His conscience, shaped by his grandfather's good upbringing, pulls him in one direction while his desperate desire for family pulls him in another. The choice he must make weighs heavily on his heart.

  11. Breaking the Rule: Never Take a Couple

With a heavy heart, Hihlík breaks the first of the two sacred scavenger rules: 'Never take a couple.' He does it only because he truly believes that he has exhausted every other means of reaching his desired goal. The act marks a painful turning point for the otherwise principled young Oddsockeater.

  12. Breaking the Rule: Stay Away From People

Hihlík goes one step further and also breaks the second fundamental rule: 'Stay people, but stay away from them.' By crossing this line, he enters territory forbidden to his kind. He accepts this risk because his longing for family has left him with no other way forward.

  13. The Desired Goal: Family

Having exhausted all other means, Hihlík pursues his ultimate goal - to finally have a family of his own. Everything he has endured, from losing his grandfather to breaking the sacred rules, has been driven by this longing. His journey proves that for him, family is worth every sacrifice, even sacrificing his own principles.

  14. A Clash of Two Generations and Two Morals

In the end, the adventures of the Oddsockeaters culminate in a clash between two generations and two entirely different sets of morals. The gangster world of Uncle Padre and the honest values of grandfather Lamor collide through Hihlík himself. From this collision, Hihlík emerges having learned what family, courage, and staying true to oneself truly mean.
