The film opens with football star Jaycen 'Two-J's' Jennings hosting his podcast. He reflects on both his career's pinnacle moments and troubling times, revealing the complexities of fame and the challenges he faced as a gifted player drafted straight from high school.

Jaycen storms into his agent Ryan Kauffman's office out of frustration. Ryan informs Jaycen that his reputation has significantly declined, especially compared to sports commentator Chip Collins, leading to a heated exchange between the two.

In a fit of anger, Jaycen drives recklessly and collides with a bus, totaling his car. This accident leads to serious injuries and a sentence of community service, dramatically impacting his life and career.

After the accident, Jaycen is sentenced to 300 hours of community service in his childhood hometown of Long Beach. The judge embarrassingly announces his return and task of picking up dog waste, highlighting Jaycen's fall from grace.

Five weeks later, Jaycen returns to Long Beach for his community service. He narrowly avoids a gunpoint robbery by his childhood friend Kareem, establishing a surprising reunion as Kareem greets him warmly after initially threatening him.

Jaycen starts his community service at a local middle school, attending a football practice with the 'Green Team.' However, the kids mock him, causing Jaycen to articulate his frustrations towards them.

During his community service, Jaycen encounters Trey and his mother Cherise, who is also Jaycen's ex-girlfriend. Cherise is upset with Jaycen for his treatment of her son and the other children, complicating his attempts to reconnect.

Jaycen learns from Kareem that the Green Team lacks a coach. Seizing this chance to redeem himself and reconnect with Cherise, he decides to take on the coaching role despite initial challenges with the team's morale.

During their first game against the Colonels, coached by Chip Collins, the Green Team performs poorly, and Jaycen's harsh criticisms further discourage the young players. Cherise confronts him about his insensitivity, urging him to be more supportive.

Seeking help, Jaycen reaches out to his former mentor, Coach Feis, who advises him to connect with the kids. Empowered, Jaycen shifts his methods, aiming to motivate the boys by relating to them and their interests.

Jaycen surprises the team with personalized jerseys, fostering a sense of camaraderie among the players. He emphasizes the importance of teamwork, gradually earning the boys' respect and admiration.

Jaycen invites the team to his home for a pool party, but when Kareem falls asleep, the boys discover his beer stash, leading to chaos. Jaycen and Cherise arrive to find the kids misbehaving, highlighting the challenges of parenting and mentorship.

Jaycen's commitment to coaching pays off as Ryan informs him that his popularity has soared, leading to an opportunity to host his own sports TV show. However, this comes at a time that conflicts with the Green Team's big game.

On the day of the taping, Jaycen finds himself among legendary commentators but feels profound regret for abandoning his team. Realizing what's at stake, he rushes back just in time to inspire the boys before their crucial match.

Although the Green Team loses the game against the Colonels, the boys uplift each other after the defeat, honoring their resilience. In a uplifting ending, Jaycen’s efforts culminate in creating the Snoop Youth Football League, aimed at helping young athletes succeed.
