The Strangers: Chapter 1

Maya and her boyfriend Ryan embark on a journey to celebrate their fifth anniversary. Their exciting plan includes securing a job for Maya in Portland, Oregon, which sets the stage for their adventure.

While traveling, the couple finds themselves unexpectedly lost in the quaint town of Venus. They decide to stop at a local diner, looking for help and some local cuisine.

Their pleasant dinner takes a turn for the worse as the locals start to disturb them, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere. They sense rising tensions that hint at the impending horror ahead.

Things spiral downward when their car unexpectedly breaks down. With no options left, they seek help from Rudy, the local mechanic, who offers to repair their vehicle the next morning.

Forced to spend the night in an Airbnb, Maya and Ryan begin to feel increasingly uneasy. Their discomfort deepens when a mysterious girl appears, asking about a person named Tamara, leaving them puzzled.

Ryan leaves on a motorcycle to retrieve an inhaler he left behind, leaving Maya alone. She starts to play the piano, but an unsettling feeling grows as a chilling presence watches her from the shadows.

Suddenly, the power goes out, amplifying Maya’s fear. In the darkness, she comes face to face with Dollface, forcing her to hide in sheer panic as she tries to avoid detection.

Ryan returns just in time to calm Maya’s fears, but their moment of safety quickly vanishes. They discover a dead chicken hanging, dripping with blood, which forebodes the horror that is about to unfold.

As danger closes in, the Scarecrow bursts through the front door, forcing the couple to flee. Their escape attempt is thwarted when the Scarecrow blows up their motorcycle, stranding them.

With their lives at stake, Maya and Ryan rush back inside to gather weapons for defense. Amid the chaos, Maya injures her hand on a nail while trying to evade capture.

After finding a shotgun, Ryan attempts to rescue Maya from another threat, but a tragic mistake occurs. He accidentally shoots the Airbnb's owner, mistaking him for an assailant, complicating their escape.

In their desperate attempt to escape in the owner's car, they are violently T-boned by the Scarecrow. In the ensuing chaos, Maya manages to flee into the woods while Ryan remains trapped.

While searching for help, Maya’s call to 911 fails due to poor network service. Instead, she stumbles upon a corpse in the dark woods, heightening her terror as she continues her escape.

Ryan awakes and desperately searches for Maya, confronting the Pin-Up Girl at gunpoint. However, his confrontation ends with the Scarecrow ambushing him, knocking him unconscious.

Maya and Ryan find themselves bound in a house of horrors. In a moment of desperation, Ryan proposes, but their joy is short-lived as he is fatally stabbed, leading to chaos and violence as their fates intertwine.
