The Stepford Children

Laura befriends Sandy Gregson and becomes entangled in school politics, as David dates Lois and Mary grows uneasy about classmates and privacy. Lois returns seemingly normal but is revealed to be a mindless double who now dates a boy she previously dismissed. David and Laura visit the Gregsons and witness Sandy's transformation as well. The town's changes extend beyond the Hardings, affecting more families.

David bursts in on his motorcycle, creating a diversion that allows Laura and Mary to escape. The facility's machinery erupts as a catastrophic explosion destroys the Men's Association, its members, and most of the children in process, though two survive.

With the town left in chaos, Laura, David, and Mary race out of Stepford. The surviving drones collapse as the operation fails, and the Hardings begin a perilous new life away from the mechanized nightmare.
