In a moment of madness a respectable, married pharmacist murders a young woman sun‑bathing by a lake. He leaves the scene, pretending nothing occurred, while the victim’s boyfriend is arrested for the killing. In an ironic twist, the pharmacist is later summoned as a juror in the very trial that condemns his own crime.
