Meanwhile, in the lively streets of New York City, Alison Parker, a successful fashion model, feels the strain from her boyfriend, lawyer Michael Lerman. He is eager for commitment, but Alison struggles with her personal space and independence.

Alison receives devastating news about the sudden death of her father in Baltimore, Maryland. This tragedy triggers painful memories, including a traumatic experience from her past that nearly led her to suicide.
