Years after the prophecy that his peaceful kingdom would not endure, Mathayus, Victor Webster, watches his world slip into chaos as a devastating plague claims his wife, Queen Cassandra, and the nobility of his reign begins to fade. He sinks back into mercenary work, the noble image of his rule giving way to a grimmer reality where survival often requires hard choices and ruthless action. In this unsettled landscape, a new power grab is underway, and Mathayus must decide where his loyalties lie as old alliances fracture and new ambitions rise from the shadows.

Talus, Billy Zane, Horus’s younger brother, dreams of seizing the throne by force. He journeys to the Far East to steal the Book of the Dead from Ramusan, Temuera Morrison, a king who stands as a strong ally to Horus and a gatekeeper to powerful ancient knowledge. To counter this threat, Horus himself brings in Mathayus and pairs him with Olaf, Bostin Christopher, a formidable Teutonic warrior whose battlefield prowess complements Mathayus’s skill and experience. The uneasy alliance is born out of necessity, as the stakes grow higher with every passing day.

The tension escalates when Talus kidnaps Ramusan’s daughter, Silda, Krystal Vee. Ramusan makes a bold promise to Mathayus: if he can rescue Silda, he will earn the right to marry her and, with that union, reclaim the crown that Talus seeks to wear. But before a rescue can even begin, Silda is whisked away by the ninja army of Cobra, a faction whose loyalties are as enigmatic as their tactics. Talus tasks Mathayus and Olaf with retrieving the princess—and even Cobra’s head—as proof of their commitment to the quest. The pursuit lands them at an exile camp where Cobra herself is revealed to be Silda in disguise, turning the mission into a trap that tests their trust and resolve.

Talus moves quickly to consolidate power, attacking Ramusan’s palace and taking the Book of the Dead while leaving Ramusan gravely injured. With the Book, Talus reanimates a trio of formidable figures: Zulu Kondo, Kimbo Slice; Argomael, Dave Bautista; and Tsukai, Selina Lo. In a brutal test of strength, they are ordered to kill Talus’s best men, and they carry out the gruesome command with chilling efficiency. Tsukai and Zulu Kondo are sent to strike at the exiles’ camp, and a clash ensues where Mathayus, Olaf, and Silda’s ninjas confront Zulu Kondo. The battle is fierce, and although Zulu Kondo falls, Tsukai manages to escape the fray.

Mathayus and Olaf return to Ramusan’s palace, now Talus’s stronghold, where they perform a dangerous ruse to appear as if Cobra has been defeated and Silda has been rescued. The deception buys them time, but Talus presses on, dragging Silda to his sleeping chambers while Mathayus launches a direct assault. Tsukai intervenes at a critical moment, saving Talus from a fatal strike, and the chase intensifies as Mathayus pursues Talus while Silda confronts Tsukai. Olaf’s mission to seize the Book of the Dead leads him into a brutal confrontation with Argomael, a fight that tests his limits.

As the dust settles, the ninjas descend with renewed urgency. The trio of Mathayus, Ramusan, and the reanimated trio—Zulu Kondo, Argomael, and Tsukai—work together to prevent Tsukai and Argomael from completing their deadly tasks, sacrificing their own safety to protect Silda and Olaf. Ramusan, gravely wounded, dies cradled in his daughter’s arms, and in the aftermath, Tsukai and Argomael bow to Mathayus, acknowledging him as the rightful ruler of Ramusan’s domain and Talus’s rival kingdoms.

When Horus, the king, arrives at the gates, Mathayus steps forward renewed in purpose, reclaiming the mantle of the Scorpion King and accepting the weight of leadership once more. The films’ final revelation hints at a personal, tender note: Mathayus and Silda share a quiet kiss on the night of their earlier party, a promise that peace may still be possible even amid the storm of power, prophecy, and peril.
