The Pink Panther Strikes Again

After three years in a psychiatric facility, Charles Dreyfus finally regains his sanity. He sheds his obsession with eliminating Inspector Jacques Clouseau, prompting his psychiatrist to schedule him for a sanity board.

Inspector Jacques Clouseau unexpectedly arrives to advocate for his former boss, Charles Dreyfus, at the sanity board hearing. In a chaotic turn of events, Clouseau inadvertently drives Dreyfus back into insanity within just five minutes.

Determined to eliminate Clouseau, Dreyfus breaks out of the hospital and plants a bomb in Clouseau's apartment. The explosion devastates Clouseau's residence, injuring his manservant Cato, while Clouseau survives miraculously thanks to an inflatable hunchback costume.

Dreyfus devises a more elaborate plan by kidnapping nuclear physicist Professor Hugo Fassbender and his daughter Margo. He coerces Fassbender into constructing a 'doomsday weapon' for their release, showcasing Dreyfus's escalating madness.

As Clouseau travels to England to investigate the kidnapping, he clumsily interrogates the staff at the Fassbender household. His antics inadvertently lead to chaos, resulting in the demise of the cross-dressing butler Jarvis before Clouseau uncovers a critical lead.

Despite the tragedy of Jarvis's death, Clouseau's investigation leads him to the Oktoberfest in Munich, West Germany. He follows the clues that point towards Dreyfus's increasingly frantic actions.

Using the 'doomsday weapon' constructed by Fassbender, Dreyfus threatens to obliterate the United Nations Building in New York City. He blackmails world leaders, including the President of the United States, into orchestrating Clouseau's assassination.

Dreyfus's hired assassins execute a series of comical and chaotic attempts to kill Clouseau. Ironically, Clouseau's obliviousness causes the assassins to turn against one another, resulting in only operatives from the Soviet Union and Egypt remaining.

While investigating, Clouseau meets Russian operative Olga Bariosova, leading to a series of misunderstandings. Unbeknownst to him, Olga's presence adds further complications as he learns more about Dreyfus's whereabouts.

Arriving in Bavaria, Clouseau disguises himself as a German dentist. He infiltrates Dreyfus's castle but inadvertently renders both himself and Dreyfus helpless with nitrous oxide during a chaotic dental procedure.

Dreyfus, still unaware of Clouseau's disguise, suffers a toothache and seeks dental help. Meanwhile, Clouseau’s mistakes inadvertently lead to Dreyfus discovering his presence, intensifying the conflict between the two.

In a twist of fate, Clouseau accidentally sabotages Dreyfus's 'doomsday machine' while trying to escape. His clumsiness causes it to explode, wiping out Dreyfus and obliterating the castle in a comedic climax.

As the castle crumbles, Dreyfus provides a bizarre final performance, playing 'Tiptoe Through the Tulips' on the castle organ as he dissolves away. It is an absurd and fitting end to his grandiose schemes.

Upon returning to Paris, Clouseau is surprised to find Olga waiting for him. However, their romantic encounter is interrupted by Cato's latest surprise attack, resulting in a comedic tumble into the Seine River.
