The Gunman

In 2006, Terrier's black-ops team operates covertly in the Democratic Republic of Congo, ostensibly guarding local mining projects. During this dangerous mission, he falls in love with Annie, a doctor working for an NGO who shares his grit and ideals. Their bond develops amid chaos and risk as civil war rages around them.

The Minister of Mining announces renegotiations that threaten the mining companies' profits, prompting them to hire Terrier's squad for an assassination. Terrier fires the fatal sniper shot, eliminating the minister's security and altering the power balance in the region. He escapes Africa afterward and retires from mercenary life, severing his ties with Annie.

Eight years pass, and Terrier returns to the DRC as a charity worker building wells for the local communities. He hopes to leave violence behind and live a quieter life focused on aid. The contrast between his past as a killer and his present altruism becomes increasingly complicated.

One day, Terrier is brutally assaulted by a local hit squad, but he fights back and kills all of them. While examining the attackers' bodies, he discovers signs that the assault was orchestrated and that someone targeted him specifically. The realization triggers fear and accelerates his suspicion of a wider conspiracy.

Terrified and suspicious, Terrier flees to London to seek answers from his ex-mercenary colleague Cox. Cox reveals that their former Congo boss Felix Marti has formed a large security firm serving major clients, including the Pentagon. The firm’s growth becomes a new threat, as they begin hunting down former team members.

They learn that the security firm aims to eliminate all ex-members of the Congo assassination to protect its reputation. Terrier realizes the organization’s power and the danger it poses to anyone who might reveal their past. The pursuit intensifies, extending beyond Africa as former teammates become targets.

Terrier uses compromised materials to lure Cox and his team to a bullfight in Spain, threatening to expose their involvement unless Annie is traded for the evidence. The stakes escalate as personal betrayal mixes with professional danger. The stunt demonstrates Terrier's willingness to gamble with life to protect Annie.

Unknown to the mercenaries, Terrier negotiates with Interpol to provide evidence for their ongoing investigation. This alliance adds a legal dimension to an otherwise brutal pursuit and gives Terrier a potential route to justice. He endures severe head trauma while trying to stay alive and keep Annie safe.
