The Dude in Me

Pan-Soo wakes in a hospital bed and quickly realizes something is off when everyone calls him 'student' and his reflection shows Dong-Hyun's face. He confirms the swap with a mirror and understands he cannot wake back to his own body right away. Confused but pragmatic, he decides to start living Dong-Hyun's life while the unconscious Pan-Soo remains in the hospital.

Reluctantly, he is taken to Dong-Hyun's home, where he must inhabit a teenager's routines, friends, and school pressures. He learns the social terrain and begins quietly gathering intel about the gang from the inside. Meanwhile, the real Pan-Soo remains unconscious in the hospital, giving him a dangerous tether to his old life.

At school, the new Dong-Hyun, controlled by Pan-Soo, starts defending himself from bullies and subtly protecting others like Hyun-Jung. He fights back to stop the harassment and gradually changes the dynamic for Dong-Hyun and his friends. The improved confidence inspires Dong-Hyun's peers to rethink who they are at school.

Man-Chul, Pan-Soo's loyal subordinate, guards the unconscious Pan-Soo in the hospital and is convinced by Pan-Soo to work with him by claiming a body swap. He secretly helps Pan-Soo gather intel and monitor daily gang activity from a safe distance. This arrangement keeps Pan-Soo informed while living in Dong-Hyun's body.

Pan-Soo encounters Oh Hyun-Jung, a girl in his class who is also bullied. He follows her home and discovers her mother Oh Mi-Sun is his old girlfriend. A paternity test reveals that Hyun-Jung is Pan-Soo's daughter, complicating his plans and family ties.

To protect Hyun-Jung and empower herself, Pan-Soo has Hyun-Jung train under Man-Chul's supervision. She loses weight, builds endurance, and learns self-defense. Hyun-Jung begins to develop feelings for Dong-Hyun, not realizing it is actually her father inside his body.

Boss Yang, Pan-Soo's rival, schemes to frame him for embezzlement by manipulating Pan-Soo's wife and leveraging their boss's authority. The plot threatens to expose Pan-Soo's double life and destabilize his hold on the gang.

Pan-Soo writes a letter explaining the scandal to his boss and later reveals to Mi-Sun that he is actually Pan-Soo, not Dong-Hyun. Mi-Sun is furious at his deception and leaves him, while Hyun-Jung overhears the confrontation, further complicating family ties.

Dong-Hyun wakes up inside Pan-Soo's body and visits Pan-Soo's home, stunned to find Pan-Soo living in his own body. The two misinterpretations collide as they adjust to swapped lives and the consequences of their actions.

Boss Yang visits Mi-Sun's restaurant and fights Pan-Soo until Mi-Sun threatens everyone to stop. Pan-Soo confronts his boss about the truth, and Mi-Sun reveals that she knows he is Pan-Soo, not Dong-Hyun, escalating the personal stakes for all involved.

Pan-Soo convinces the boss that family is more important than power, and the boss blesses his departure from the business and inheritance. Pan-Soo embraces Dong-Hyun for being a better man, but the estranged wife arrives and unexpectedly runs him over. The dramatic shift marks a turning point for both bodies.

Six months pass and Dong-Hyun returns to school in his own body, greeted by classmates for standing up to the bullies. Hyun-Jung appears to be dating him, and they later visit Mi-Sun's new restaurant where Pan-Soo works alongside Man-Chul, as people crowd into the bustling new business.
