Ashok, Vinod, and Randhir grow up with different passions—Ashok loves cars, while Vinod and Randhir are drawn to trains. The night before the maiden journey, Sheetal returns to reclaim Vinod for their anniversary, but he remains focused on the upcoming trip. Passengers from all walks board the Delhi-to-Bombay express, including Raja Ram Mohan and his wife, smugglers in disguise, Major P. K. Bhandari, Abdul Rahim, a schoolteacher and students, and others. Randhir escorts the train, masking his true intentions to sabotage the journey. The stage is set for a perilous voyage.

Randhir sabotages the vacuum brakes and plants a bomb in the engine room before slipping away. Ashok confronts him and tries to stop the plan, but the damage is done. The train surges forward with no working brakes, placing everyone on board in mortal danger.

With the brakes gone, Vinod communicates with passengers via All India Radio, instructing them on improvised emergency braking if possible. Ashok, Ravi, and guard Usman Ali race toward the engine to try to avert disaster. The situation becomes a tense race against time as power, momentum, and courage collide.

A gas explosion claims Usman Ali and several others while Ashok and Ravi work to save as many as they can by creating gaps between compartments. Amid the chaos, Ashok learns Seema's troubled past has caused her betrayal, leading to a painful but necessary reconciliation. The crisis tests loyalties and forges new resolve.
