The Body Snatcher

A group of friends enjoys a lively night out filled with drinks and laughter. The atmosphere shifts when a renowned doctor, Wolfe Macfarlane, unexpectedly arrives, stirring a sense of tension among the group.

Fettes, portrayed by Boris Karloff, recognizes Macfarlane and confronts him with anger. This confrontation raises suspicions among the friends, hinting at a troubled past between the two men.

As the story unfolds, Fettes remembers their shared history in medical school under the supervision of the enigmatic Mr. K. Their education involved the unsettling duty of accepting cadavers for dissection, obtained from some dubious suppliers.

During a disturbing incident, Fettes comes across the corpse of a woman he knows and believes has been murdered. Despite his insistence on reporting the crime, Macfarlane convinces him to stay silent to protect both their interests.

Fettes and Macfarlane encounter a man named Gray at a tavern, who displays overt disrespect towards Macfarlane. The altercation adds further strain to the already tense atmosphere among the group.
