In the year 2050, fighter pilot Adam Reed embarks on a daring rescue mission using a time jet. His objective is to go back to 2018, but an unexpected accident thrusts him into the year 2022 instead.

Upon arriving in 2022, Adam encounters his 12-year-old self, referred to as Adam12. This meeting coincides with the young boy's struggle to cope with the emotional fallout from their father's tragic death.

As young Adam grapples with the loss of their father, he faces bullying at school. His attempts to stand up for himself lead to his suspension, further complicating his emotional state.

During their time together, adult Adam confides in young Adam about his regrets. He shares his feelings of guilt regarding their mother's grief and the impact of their father's death.

With his time jet incapacitated due to injuries, adult Adam brings young Adam into the plan to repair it. Their first step involves gathering necessary supplies from a local drugstore.

While at the drugstore, Adam encourages Adam12 to stand up to his bullies. After a confrontation, adult Adam takes control and asserts his dominance over the bullies, defending his younger self.

Adult Adam meets with his mother, Ellie, at a bar, where he advises her to embrace her vulnerability. He suggests that sharing her pain from losing Louis could strengthen her connection with young Adam.

Amidst his time in 2022, Adam is on a quest to locate his wife, Laura, who disappeared during a time travel mission. He learns that she was presumed dead in a plane crash around 2018.

In a surprising twist, Laura appears during a confrontation, explaining that she has been missing in the past, having escaped an assassination attempt by the future leader, Maya Sorian. This revelation alters Adam's outlook on the timeline.

With Laura by his side, Adam contemplates a drastic decision: returning to 2018 to erase the technology that enables time travel. However, he fears that this change might jeopardize his chances of reuniting with Laura.

As tensions rise, Laura sacrifices herself during an attack by Maya Sorian, allowing both Adams to make a final jump back to 2018. They land with only one time jump remaining.

Adam and Adam12 seek out Louis for assistance with their mission to repair the timeline. Initially hesitant, Louis recognizes the stakes involved after learning about Sorian's manipulations.

In a critical moment, Maya confronts her younger self, revealing her intentions to thwart Adam's mission. This leads to an inevitable clash between the two timelines.

During the final battle, Adam12 confronts his unresolved grief over his father's death. This emotional revelation fuels his determination to fight back against Maya Sorian and her forces.
