In 1621, a carefree Pilgrim maiden encounters a demonic turkey with a tomahawk. Her life ends in a gruesome manner, setting the stage for the vengeful spirit's return every 505 years.

Fast-forward several centuries, a group of college students embarks on a Thanksgiving journey. The group consists of Kristen, Johnny, Ali, Billy, and Darren, each embodying distinct traits and hopes for the festive occasion.

Upon attempting to contact Kristen's father, the local sheriff, their vehicle breaks down in the quaint town of Crawberg. With no option but to camp overnight, they gather around the fire as Darren recounts a chilling legend.

Darren tells the story of Feathercloud, a Native American shaman wronged by Pilgrim Chuck Langston, an ancestor of Billy. This betrayal led Feathercloud to summon the vengeful Turkey, who seeks to slaughter all Caucasians every 505 years.

In a disturbing twist, recluse Oscar unintentionally releases Turkie by desecrating a sacred totem pole. The turkey retaliates by killing Oscar's dog, igniting Oscar's quest for revenge against the fiend.

Kristen recounts her terrifying run-in with Turkie to her friends, but they dismiss her story as mere fiction. Their skepticism turns to horror when a lifeless rabbit is thrown into their campfire, signaling Turkie's ominous presence.

The next day, Turkie hijacks a passing vehicle when its driver approaches him inappropriately. The group's fears intensify when Johnny returns home to find Turkie's violent attack has resulted in the deaths of his parents.

Ali, distracted by romance, suffers as Turkie brutally slits her boyfriend Greg's throat. Oblivious to the horror around her, she falls victim to Turkie's relentless killing spree.

As the friends regroup at Kristen's home to seek answers, they unknowingly let Turkie infiltrate their midst. Maliciously disguised as the sheriff, Turkie engages in a deadly meal that ends with the sheriff's brutal murder.

Darren discovers in Kristen's dad's library that Turkie can be defeated by removing his talisman. Unfortunately, despite gaining the talisman, Turkie manages to escape yet again, leaving the group in despair.

Frustrated by their losses, the friends delve deeper into the texts and find that the only way to defeat Turkie involves chanting a dark prayer while burning him on a stake. The urgency increases as the threat looms larger.

Determined, Kristen, Johnny, and Darren track Turkie to his tipi to fulfill the ritual. Just as they prepare to incinerate him, Turkie escapes but is shot by the vengeful Oscar, momentarily tipping the scales of danger.

Returning to Kristen's home, the group celebrates their supposed victory, not knowing Turkie's corpse has reanimated. As they revel in their success, Turkie's threat is far from over.

As Kristen and Johnny confess their feelings, chaos erupts again when Turkie violently emerges and attacks. One by one, the friends fall victim to Turkie's ruthless brutality, leaving only Kristen to fend for herself.

In a desperate bid for survival, Kristen confronts Turkie in a shed, using an aerosol flamethrower. Ultimately, she prevails but not without sustaining severe emotional and physical wounds that forever alter her reality.

During a family Thanksgiving gathering, a turkey eerily comes back to life, echoing Turkie's infamous phrase. This cryptic moment hints at the darker legacy that prevails, setting the stage for potential sequels.
