One year later, the Skynet system perceives humanity as a threat and activates, triggering Judgment Day. This catastrophic event results in the decimation of a significant portion of the human population, marking the start of a brutal war between humans and machines.

In 2018, John Connor emerges as a crucial leader of the Resistance. He orchestrates a major attack on a Skynet facility, discovering human captives and unsettling plans for a new type of Terminator that merges human tissue with machinery.
