Ten

On the drive to the local pool, the driver and her son Amin have a tense, escalating conversation. The driver raises her voice, and Amin yells back, deepening the strain between them. It is revealed that the driver obtained a divorce from her ex-husband by falsely claiming he was a drug addict, highlighting the limits women face in court. The heated exchange ends when Amin abruptly exits the car.

The driver and her sister discuss the heavy burden and expectations placed on children by parents. Both sisters note that their children have accused them of not being good mothers. They stop to pick up a birthday cake for the driver's husband, Mortaza, adding a domestic detail to the ride. The sister advises the driver regarding Amin's rude behavior and suggests letting Amin live with his father to 'set him straight'.

An old pious woman gets into the car and mentions she goes to the Mausoleum three times a day to pray. She shares that her husband and her 12-year-old son have died, and she has sold possessions to fund a pilgrimage to Syria, giving away other belongings to the less fortunate. They talk, but the driver refuses to accompany her to pray and drops her off at the Mausoleum. The conversation ends with the old woman heading inside alone.

A sex worker boards the car, mistaking the driver for a male client, and they drive around together. The driver persistently asks personal questions, while the sex worker lectures her about the realities of clients and marriages. The sex worker reveals that many clients are married men who receive calls from their wives while with her, and she critiques clingy beliefs. She admits to having once been engaged, only to realize she was foolish. The conversation ends as she is dropped off and immediately picked up by a client.

After praying at the Mausoleum, a woman boards the car and the two discuss religion and belief. The passenger confesses she had not been a believer in the past and is not sure now. She explains she was supposed to get married and prays at the Mausoleum in hopes that the man she is dating will propose.

The driver picks up Amin from her ex-husband, who has been caring for him, and they both stay in their cars while Amin crosses a busy street. The driver asks to keep Amin overnight, and the ex-husband agrees. Amin argues with his mother over a shortcut to his grandmother's house, ultimately recognizing that his mother might be right. He mentions that his father has been watching porn at home at night.

The driver then picks up her crying sister, distraught that her husband left after seven years. She tells her sister, 'It is wrong to cling to him,' echoing the blunt harshness from the sex worker the night before. The driver is frank and unsympathetic, urging her sister to toughen up.

Back with Amin in the car, a woman tells the driver that Amin is a man and should live with a man to learn from him. They discuss the ex-husband finding a new wife who would obey him and do more housework, while the driver and Amin argue about a shortcut. The argument escalates and Amin abruptly exits the car again.

The same woman from the fifth vignette tells the driver that her boyfriend does not want to marry her, despite her hopes. The driver asks why her veil is so tight, and it is revealed that the passenger has shaved her head.

Finally, the driver picks Amin from his father again and drives toward his grandmother's house. The film ends as they disappear into traffic on the way to grandma's home.
