Alex Shaw finds himself in an exhilarating motorcycle chase after pursuing a vehicle filled with stolen goods. His skills as a member of the SWAT team are immediately put to the test as he navigates through the chaotic streets to apprehend the driver.

After successfully apprehending the thief, Alex's personal life takes a turn when his girlfriend, Annie, accidentally collides with him during her driving test. This unexpected mishap adds a layer of tension to their relationship as Alex struggles with his deception about being a beach cop.

In an attempt to make amends, Alex surprises Annie with a romantic getaway on the luxurious cruise ship, Seabourn Legend. This trip is meant to be an escape from their troubles and a chance for them to reconnect away from the chaos of their daily lives.

During their vacation, the tension escalates when sinister passenger John Geiger orchestrates explosions to take control of the ship. He cripples the communication systems, plunging the entire cruise into turmoil and setting the stage for further chaos.

The situation worsens as Geiger commits an even more heinous act by throwing the captain overboard. He seizes control of the ship, instigating panic among the passengers and compelling the first officer, Juliano, to follow his deadly orders.

As panic unfolds, a young deaf girl named Drew becomes trapped in an elevator. Meanwhile, guests caught in the chaos find themselves behind locked fire doors, engulfed in smoke as they desperately search for an escape.

In a desperate attempt to escape the turmoil, Alex and Annie rush for the last lifeboat. However, they encounter a winch malfunction as the ship begins to move, forcing Alex to leap onto the lifeboat to prevent chaos and save lives.

Realizing the true extent of Geiger’s threat, Alex and Juliano arm themselves with skeet guns and approach Geiger's cabin. Their efforts are thwarted as Geiger remotely triggers explosives, escalating the danger on the ship.

Annie, discovering a group of terrified guests trapped behind fire doors, takes charge. Armed with a chainsaw, she bravely cuts through the obstacles to free them, showcasing her courage amidst the chaos.

As the ship continues to fill with water, Alex orders navigator Merced to flood sections of the ship to enacting emergency measures. His decisive leadership becomes crucial in the fight for survival against Geiger's plans.

Determined to rescue Drew, Alex spots her trapped on a monitor. He races against time to reach her, facing off with Geiger who cunningly tries to thwart his rescue efforts by shutting a fire door in his path.

With the ship on a collision course with an oil tanker, Alex uses a steel cable to jam the propeller. Meanwhile, Geiger sabotages Alex's efforts, creating a tense standoff as both sides fight for control of the situation.

Tragically, Geiger captures Annie and escapes in a boat, leaving Alex in a desperate pursuit. This capture adds urgency to Alex's mission as he is determined to rescue her from Geiger's clutches.

As Geiger takes Annie aboard a seaplane, Alex springs into action. He courageously shoots the plane with a spear-gun during an intense confrontation, leading to a heart-stopping rescue as the plane spirals out of control.

Finally safe, Alex and Annie return to shore aboard Maurice's boat. In a sweet moment, Alex presents her with a wedding ring, asking if she would consider wearing it for a while, marking the end of their chaotic adventure with a promise for the future.
