Sound of Horror

The archaeologists detonate dynamite in an abandoned mountain cave and uncover petrified eggs. They take one egg, unaware that another had hatched. The hatched reptilian creature escapes into the cave and vanishes.

In the nearby villa, Calliope warns Andre about monsters and angry mountain spirits. Andre dismisses the warnings, focusing on his work and the treasure map. The tension between superstition and ambition grows.

Dorman arrives at the villa with Stravos, their driver, and Sofia, carrying the other half of the ancient map. The two halves promise the location of gold if they can join forces and dig at the cave. The group prepares to search the mountain for the treasure.

Ominous clues, including the decaying Neanderthal woman, reinforce Calliope's warnings. The men stay focused on the treasure despite the eerie signs. The mood around the cave and villa grows tenser.

The team discovers bones of a man buried to keep the treasure location secret. Stravos investigates the mummified corpse, and the creature emerges unseen, slashing him to death. The surviving men realize they are being hunted.

Shaken by Stravos's death, the group flees back to the villa, pursued by the predator. Dorman is injured during the tense escape, forcing the survivors to rethink their plans. The pursuit confirms the danger of their pursuit.

Terrified of what might be hunting them, they decide to abandon the treasure pursuit and focus on escaping the area entirely. They begin to organize a safer exit from the mountain while still trapped in the villa. The fear of pursuit dominates their decisions.

Calliope is killed by the creature while fetching water for coffee. The remaining humans barricade themselves inside the villa, hoping to outlast the intruder. Outside, the danger looms closer to the doors.

Professor Andre entrusts his niece Maria to Pete and tries to ensure her safety. Pete sneaks back to the cave, detonates dynamite, and blows the entrance shut. He is attacked, but the seal is completed, trapping the creature inside.

The next morning, the survivors board Andre's car hoping to leave, but the engine floods and won't start. The creature returns and forces them back inside the villa as tension spikes. The escape plan is renewed with the threat still present.

Inside the villa, the group is attacked by the creature. A trail of clawprints leads from the kitchen, and they use flour to track the beast. They improvise with hatchets and manage to injure it as it retreats into the shadows.

The creature reveals itself atop the car, forcing the occupants to pull over and abandon their planned escape. The dramatic standoff intensifies as the threat remains mobile and unpredictable.

Dorman sacrifices himself by igniting the vehicle's fuel reserves, creating a massive fireball that destroys both him and the creature. The surviving quartet survive the blaze and observe the creature's demise. The immediate danger to them is finally removed.

With the creature dead, the four remaining survivors set off on foot toward town, aware of the grave costs and lingering fear. They move slowly, supporting one another as they leave the nightmare behind. The future remains uncertain, but safety feels within reach.
