Gaga, Solomon Tashe, a disfigured man, arrives at Akafle’s house for unclear reasons. The moment sparks a chain of worry and investigation as Akafle’s son, Naty, learns of the intruder and reports to his oldest brother, Mesfin, who relentlessly searches for Gaga’s identity as night falls and the family sleeps. The brothers, sometimes moving in tandem and other times separately, shadow the strange visitor, trying to stay hidden while Gaga slips through the shadows and slips away from their sight.

Gaga’s wanderings take him into the dwelling of an elderly prostitute, who demands 30 birr for the night. Gaga reveals a crumpled piece of paper reading, > Have you forgotten me? and, in a brutal moment, dismantles her, climbing out through the roof with alarming speed. When Mesfin and Naty reach the scene, they find the woman’s severed limbs and bloodied remains, the violence stark against the quiet street.

The following day, a new chapter unfolds: Mesfin steps into a role as managing director at a company owned by the father of the household, partnering with Melawit, the owner’s daughter. Melawit, a college graduate who works as an electrician, begins an intense, complicated affair with Mesfin. She hosts a dinner party to celebrate her graduation, inviting Mesfin and his brother despite their father’s opposition. The house hums with music and conversation until Gaga arrives unannounced.

During the party, a tense sequence erupts. After a dance, Sharew’s phone rings; Gaga instructs Sharew to approach the window, and Sharew appears behind him with sudden, brutal force, slitting his tongue and presenting the same ominous note, > Have you forgotten me? Then he is cast from the building’s edge, fatally impaled on a metal bar outside a parked car. The murder unfolds in the same room where Mesfin and Melawit share a moment of flirtation, and the violence casts a pall over the celebrations.

As events spiral, Ato Aklilu learns the number to which Sharew received a call and the web of connections tightens. Melawit and Mesfin grow closer, their relationship deepening even as danger closes in. Gaga uses Melawit as a gateway to reach Mesfin, sending her a message that reveals Mesfin’s location, and Melawit becomes a crucial, dangerous link in Gaga’s pursuit.

Sancho, who accompanies Mesfin on some of the investigations, feels a creeping dread when he sees Gaga, and he quickly loses his composure. Police searches of Sharew’s residence uncover a photograph showing six apparent friends who have since become mortal enemies, hinting at past loyalties fractured by fear and violence. Mesfin’s father learns where his sons have been and warns them not to meet Melawit again, warning of consequences if they ignore him.

Melawit drives to an unknown destination, calling Mesfin as she goes. In the background, Aklilu—aware that Mesfin is the son of his sworn enemy—tells Melawit not to speak to him. Gaga eventually locates Melawit in a wooded area, where she hides in a pit and phones her father for help, managing to escape by car. When Aklilu arrives to confront Gaga, Gaga knocks him unconscious and abducts him, leaving the police to discover only Aklilu’s cell phone at the scene.

Mesfin heads to Gaga’s house and watches Gaga load a Volkswagen van before hurrying back to Melawit to report what he has seen. The police arrest Mesfin for questioning when he reaches Aklilu’s residence, while Gaga continues to deceive law enforcement and snatches Melawit away. At Gaga’s house, Akafle’s corpse is found hanging from the roof, a stark reminder of the cost of this pursuit. Detective Menagesha informs Mesfin that his father has died, crushing any remaining illusions of safety and stability.

With Akafle dead and Melawit’s fate in jeopardy, Mesfin resolves to take revenge on Gaga. Detective Menagesha brings one of his six jailed friends to recount the chain of events, including how Gaga attacked Sharew and Akafle, the loss of Gaga’s own eye, and how he and Akafle escaped police custody after being held hostage. As Mesfin traces Gaga to an old van that Gaga had boarded in a taxi, he asks the driver where they are headed, and the driver replies they’re bound for an old bullet store.

At the store, Gaga binds Aklilu’s hands and feet to a chair. Melawit is strapped to a board suspended by a rope, with a spiked wooden plank attached to another board controlled by Aklilu’s bite. If the cord is released, the nail-studded plank could drop and fatally strike Melawit. Just before Gaga can ignite the rope, Mesfin intervenes and engages him in a brutal struggle. Gaga is momentarily knocked out, and Mesfin frees Melawit and Aklilu, but Gaga revives and kills Aklilu by throwing an axe.

In a final, climactic confrontation, Mesfin subdues Gaga and uses the suspended board to bring about Gaga’s demise. The weaponized trap overwhelms Gaga as Melawit and Mesfin watch from a distance, the danger finally receding. In the quiet aftermath, Melawit and Mesfin sit in a garden; Mesfin shows her a photograph of six people before a gust of wind sweeps it away and the image drifts down a nearby stream, leaving behind a sense of unresolved histories and fragile peace.
