Sinkhole (2021) Plot Summary & Ending Explained

In the film’s climax the five strangers finally break free from the yawning chasm that has swallowed their apartment block. After days of rationing air and water, a massive yellow tank that has been sealed inside the hole becomes the unlikely lifeline. With a mixture of brute strength and sheer desperation, the gym‑owner‑driver manages to shove the tank upward, creating a column that lifts the collapsed building and its occupants almost five hundred metres back to the surface.
