In the film’s climax the five strangers finally break free from the yawning chasm that has swallowed their apartment block. After days of rationing air and water, a massive yellow tank that has been sealed inside the hole becomes the unlikely lifeline. With a mixture of brute strength and sheer desperation, the gym‑owner‑driver manages to shove the tank upward, creating a column that lifts the collapsed building and its occupants almost five hundred metres back to the surface. The scene is deliberately over‑the‑top—characters breathe easily at the bottom of the earth and the structure remains intact long enough for the rescue—but it serves the story’s blend of disaster and comedy.

What the absurdity hides is the newfound bond among the survivors. The husband and wife, the junior employee and his crush, and the father‑son duo move from strangers to a makeshift family, each realizing how much they need one another. The father’s quiet act of retrieving a few strands of hair from the boy who perished with his grandmother underscores that even in triumph there is grief, reminding us that survival comes at a cost.

When the characters finally emerge into daylight, the physical ascent mirrors their emotional rise. They step out of the literal sinkhole into a brighter world, carrying with them a deeper appreciation for love, responsibility, and the fragile connections that hold us together. The ending leaves the audience with a bittersweet sense of hope: disaster may have shattered their surroundings, but it also forged lasting ties.
