After a pair of scammers imprison young Alice Faulkner to force her to reveal the location of compromising letters that could ignite a scandal for the royal family, Sherlock Holmes steps in to investigate. The film, long thought lost, was rediscovered in 2014 in the Cinémathèque Française vaults.
