Shadowzone

Dr. Van Fleet is the project lead behind the Shadowzone experiments. He orchestrates the extended deep sleep tests to prove safety and later pushes for longer trials, despite rising danger. He confronts the consequences when the lab is breached and the creature claims his life.

Dr. Erhardt is the second-in-command under Dr. Van Fleet. She becomes fascinated by the creature after its arrival and theorizes it can shape-shift and read fears to imitate forms. She remains with Jenna as danger escalates and is killed when the portal extracts her.

Wiley is the sole computer engineer who monitors heat signatures and detects the fifth life form. He analyzes the data to understand the creature's shape-shifting capabilities and helps operate the lab's systems under duress. He dies while restoring power, his blood on the elevator window as the creature closes in.

Mrs. Cutter is the station cook, keeping the crew fed during the long shift. She witnesses the early signs of danger as a rat-like mutation tears through the walls. She dies when the creature attacks.

Dr. Kidwell is a physician who helps with monitoring and response during the crisis. She investigates the lab's animal enclosures and witnesses the mutated attacks, including the monkey. Her screams mark the escalating danger, and she is killed by the creature.

Tommy Shivers is the last maintenance worker left on site. He acts as a guide for Hickock through the labyrinthine facility and warns of the unfolding danger. He panics during the chaos and is among those killed by the creature.

Captain Hickock is the NASA officer sent to investigate the Shadowzone project. He leads the on-site response, attempts to restart power, and ultimately survives by destroying the lab's computers to prevent further catastrophe. He awakens after being knocked unconscious and helps free Jenna.

Jenna is the female subject in sleep who cannot be woken until power is restored. The crew eventually revives her and releases her from the sleep chamber.
