Arkie’s journey culminates in her confronting Dr. Maybee in his laboratory, where she initially appears to be captured, revealing her true identity as his long-lost daughter. Dr. Maybee, overwhelmed with his obsession for perfection, intends to genetically mutate Arkie into a full human to replace his lost daughter. However, Arkie refuses, knowing her true bond lies with Blister, the giant octopus who raised her and has been her protector. As tensions escalate, Bunniguru and Egg return to the fight, crashing into the lab and providing Arkie with an opportunity to free Blister. In the chaos, Dr. Maybee attempts to harness the planet’s final solar energy to destroy everything, but Keeper—who is revealed as a former experiment of Dr. Maybee and now an ally—steps in. She and the squigglers transform Dr. Maybee into a half-human, half-squiggler creature, severing his destructive plans. With the planet’s energy system finally shut down, Arkie, Blister, and their companions manage to deactivate the machinery threatening to annihilate the planet. They succeed in saving the world, bringing back sunlight and vitality. In the end, Blister’s regenerative powers repair Egg’s shell, and the characters retreat to their natural home, away from pollution and human greed. Arkie’s true identity is revealed to be connected to her biological father, Dr. Maybee, who had thought she’d died long ago, hinting at a tragic past of loss and scientific obsession. Despite this, Arkie chooses love and loyalty over blood ties, forging a bond with Blister and the natural world rather than her biological father’s destructive ambitions. The ending emphasizes that genuine relationships and caring are stronger than genetic ties, leaving viewers with a message about the importance of protecting our planet and valuing the bonds we build through kindness and compassion.
