Katy and Becka engage in a humorous conversation where Katy jokingly refers to a sex tape. Becka, however, takes the discussion seriously, believing it pertains to a cursed tape similar to the one from 'The Ring'.

Following their unusual conversation, eerie supernatural occurrences begin to plague Katy and Becka. Their hapless situation escalates when their television flickers to life, leading to their unfortunate demise.

On a farm outside Washington, D.C., farmer Tom Logan and his brother George stumble upon a mysterious crop circle in their fields. This discovery is reminiscent of the crop circles featured in 'Signs', hinting at unexplainable phenomena.

Cindy Campbell, now a well-established anchorwoman, reports live on-air about the crop circles spotted in the area. This sets the stage for her reunion with her childhood friend Brenda, who is now Cody's teacher.

George Logan arrives to collect his niece Sue and makes an instant connection with Cindy. They bond over a planned rap battle featuring George's rapper friends Mahalik and CJ, inspired by the movie '8 Mile'.

During the rap battle, George showcases surprising talent, only to later face humiliation and be ejected from the venue. Meanwhile, Brenda, feeling mischievous, decides to play pranks on Cindy while they watch a movie together.

As Brenda steps out to the lounge for popcorn, the television frightfully turns on by itself. In a terrifying twist, Tabitha, the malevolent spirit, emerges from the screen, resulting in a deadly confrontation with Brenda.

After Brenda's tragic death, George and Mahalik disrupt her wake in a futile effort to bring her back to life. Their actions result in a chaotic explosion that scatters Brenda's remains among the grieving crowd.

Determined to find a solution, Cindy watches the cursed tape, witnessing its eerie content firsthand. She soon receives a phone call tied to the curse and reaches out to George, CJ, and Mahalik for help.

CJ suggests that his Aunt Shaneequa may provide crucial insights into the cursed tape's mystery. After watching, Shaneequa identifies a hidden image of a lighthouse, hinting at a location for answers.

Upon returning home, Cindy is horrified to discover that her nephew Cody has unwittingly watched the cursed tape. As ominous phone calls from Tabitha persist, Cindy fears for his safety.

Cindy races against time to locate the lighthouse depicted in the cursed tape, identifying it while at work amidst a frantic environment. She tries to warn her audience by sneakily contacting her boss.

In a surprising turn, President Baxter Harris shows up at the Logan farm for an investigation into the crop circles. His involvement adds a layer of urgency to the bizarre happenings surrounding them.

Cindy finally reaches the lighthouse, where she encounters The Architect, who reveals the dark history behind the cursed tape. The story of Tabitha's tragic past is unveiled, deepening the narrative.

In a tense climax, Cindy confronts Tabitha and offers her a chance for acceptance. Despite their appeal, Tabitha's disdain leads to an accidental defeat by President Harris, ending her reign of terror.

With the aliens departing peacefully and the curse seemingly lifted, Cindy and George celebrate their love by getting married. The film ends on a comedic note as they accidentally leave Cody behind amidst their honeymoon joy.
