Bahri Suwono, the father, struggles to keep the family afloat financially while protecting his children from both debt collectors and supernatural threats. He makes difficult choices, including moving the family toward town, in an attempt to secure a better future and escape the cult's influence.

Rini Suwono is the twenty-two-year-old daughter who takes initiative to seek help after her grandmother's death.
