Saakini Daakini

Shalini and Daamini are two ambitious police trainees aiming for Sub-Inspector posts after passing the Telangana State Level Public Recruitment Board (TSLPRB) exam. Coming from different backgrounds, they quickly clash in the academy and end up sharing a room, their rivalry bubbling into sharp exchanges and near-punitive consequences. The tension between them almost derails their careers, until a moment of true teamwork shifts their relationship. When Daamini is injured during a forest run, Shalini rallies to help in a gesture that earns them praise from their instructors and begins a genuine, if tentative, friendship between the two.

One late-night, their routine patrol takes a dark turn as they witness a girl being kidnapped on the way back from a club. The local missing persons department is stretched thin because a businessman’s son has vanished, leaving the station unable to devote adequate resources to the case. With the clock ticking in the crucial hours after a kidnapping, the two trainees decide to follow their own instincts and start a vigorous, unauthorized investigation.

As they close in on the kidnapper group, they uncover a shocking reality: the gang is running an unfertilized egg harvesting operation, with many more young women imprisoned at a hidden site. Eager to rescue the captives, they try to intervene but are overpowered, beaten, and locked up themselves. When they finally escape, they return to find the hideout deserted and the trail cold. Their professor warns them that, as non-officers, they should stop and leave the investigation to authorities. Yet the pull of justice—and the sight of the suffering girls—drives them to press on.

Refusing to quit, the pair undergo grueling physical training and use CCTV footage to rebuild the case. They track the gang to a fertility clinic and gear up for a dangerous, solo mission. Armed and determined, they enter the clinic, confront the criminals, and manage to free all the captives, taking down the gang’s boss in the process. The operation is a triumph in its aim to rescue the girls, but it comes at a cost: a disciplinary committee later rules that their actions, though morally justified, violated procedures, leaving them suspended and starting their training from scratch, effectively setting them back a year.

The film closes on a notes of stubborn resilience and renewed resolve. Despite the setback, the two emerge with a quiet, shared conviction to continue fighting for justice, even when the system compels them to wait. The story blends high-stakes action with the evolving bond between two determined young women who refuse to let bureaucracy stand in the way of doing what’s right.
