In a world where ancient titans have become a beloved form of entertainment, the charming town of Stoker-Upon-Avon has gained recognition as the heart of Monster Wrestling. For years, residents have passionately cheered for their local heroes, Rayburn and Jimbo Coyle. Their tragic demise in a maritime accident sent ripples of mourning through the community. The gap left by these legendary figures was eventually filled by Tentacular, a mighty shark monster expertly trained by Siggy Martin, who was once Jimbo's protégé. As Tentacular asserted his dominance in the ring, Stoker-Upon-Avon came alive with fans eager to watch thrilling matches against formidable competitors, including King Gorge, a massive bulldog.

Amid this wrestling frenzy, Winnie, the spirited daughter of Jimbo, grew up immersed in the exhilarating world of Monster Wrestling, inheriting her father's unyielding enthusiasm for the sport. One fateful evening, during a particularly intense match, Winnie observed that Tentacular was faltering against King Gorge until she discerned the bulldog's tell—a slight lick of his lips before launching an attack. This vital insight enabled Tentacular to flip the script and claim victory. However, just as the crowd roared in jubilation, Tentacular shocked everyone by announcing his intent to depart for more promising opportunities, leaving Stoker-Upon-Avon devoid of its cherished champion.

The local Mayor, Fred Melamed, called an urgent meeting with Councilwoman Greta Lee to discuss the unfortunate reality: without a reigning champion monster, the very existence of Monster Wrestling was at stake. The stadium faced closure, threatening the economic stability of the town. In the midst of this upheaval, the arrogant Jimothy Brett-Chadley III saw a chance to profit from the town's plight by suggesting that the stadium be torn down and replaced with a parking lot.

While Winnie's mother, Maggie, urged her to abandon her ambitions, she remained resolute. Instead, she set her sights on Pittsmore, a neighboring town that had also experienced the loss of its monster champion. Undaunted, Winnie ventured to Pittsmore, where underground wrestling events took place in a decrepit warehouse. Despite her attempts to recruit competing wrestlers, many dismissed her pleas with mocking laughter.

In a surprising twist, Winnie's relentless drive eventually led her to cross paths with Steve, portrayed by Will Arnett. Little did she know, her enthusiasm disrupted the delicate dynamics of the underground wrestling scene. Steve, the son of the elusive Rayburn, had been forced into a cycle of defeat due to his predetermined struggles. Unbeknownst to Winnie, her energetic advances thwarted Klonk's (portrayed by Brian Baumgartner) meticulously crafted losing strategy, infuriating their merciless boss, Lady Mayhem. This resulted in dire consequences for Steve, who was left scrambling to recover the financial losses or face severe ramifications. Eventually, he had no choice but to team up with Winnie, begrudgingly heading back to Stoker.

As this unlikely pair embarked on a vigorous training regimen, Steve's memories of his father dismissing his passion for dance in favor of wrestling resurfaced, causing him to hesitate in fully committing to the demanding physical training. A pivotal moment occurred when Winnie took him to a cargo ship where intense monster battles took place, leading Steve to face off against Ramarilla in a high-stakes showdown. With Winnie's expert guidance, he eked out a victory, but his unconventional techniques were ridiculed by commentators, including Lights Out McNulty and Marc Remy, who declared the match unremarkable.

As Winnie's determination pushed Steve through grueling workouts, he grappled with reconciling his desire for independence with his unexpected passion for dancing. It wasn't until she uncovered his hidden dancing skills that she began to incorporate these moves into their fighting style. The audience's reactions were mixed, with some applauding the inventive approach while others dismissed it as mere theatrics. Meanwhile, Winnie became increasingly desperate to persuade Steve to confront King Gorge, unaware that the Mayor and Councilwoman were on the brink of finalizing the stadium's fate by handing it over to Jimothy, thus jeopardizing its very existence.

At this critical juncture, the true extent of Tentacular's vindictive schemes emerged—driven by insecurity in comparison to Rayburn, he strategized to obliterate the stadium, ultimately shattering the spirits of both Winnie and Steve. In the midst of turmoil, Steve returned to Pittsmore, his pockets weighed down by Lady Mayhem's winnings, ready to resign to the banalities of his mundane job. However, a poignant discovery within his locker—nostalgic mementos reflecting on the bond he shared with his father—rekindled his spirit.

As destiny would have it, Steve found Winnie back in Stoker, just as the town gathered to witness Tentacular’s impending destruction of the stadium. In an electrifying moment, Steve seized the chance to dismantle the explosive charges and confronted the astonished crowd, revealing his astonishing truth—he was none other than Rayburn Jr.. As stunned spectators, including Lady Mayhem, processed this mind-blowing revelation, Tentacular accepted a confrontation with Steve, allowing Winnie to revitalize their training routine.

With an outpouring of support from various corners, Steve's unwavering determination to safeguard the stadium and prove himself surged within him. As the decisive moment approached, anxiety regarding his father's legendary status began to overwhelm him. However, Winnie stepped in with an encouraging pep talk that revitalized Steve's spirits. The opening round against Tentacular erupted into an unconventional dance-infused bout, resulting in a rather lackluster performance for the audience. Yet, as the skirmish progressed and Tentacular began countering Steve's moves, the atmosphere shifted dramatically. Siggy's mounting fears for Steve's safety reached a boiling point, prompting her to implore Winnie to concede, fearing a devastating blow could incapacitate Steve.

Just when hope seemed lost, Steve summoned his determination, devising a bold strategy for the final showdown. Steve unleashed his full fury, executing a dazzling leap that allowed him to land on Tentacular, sending both warriors crashing to the mat, an accident that inadvertently hurled Jimothy into the chaos. When the dust settled, both fighters lay down, but in a breathtaking display of resilience, Steve rose to claim victory, becoming the new champion. Tentacular, humiliated, was carted away, while Siggy found solace in Winnie's coaching, likening her mentorship to that of her own illustrious father.

The crowd erupted in a frenzy of applause and celebration as Steve reveled in his hard-fought triumph. Lady Mayhem, observing from the shadows, acknowledged Steve as a worthy champion. The atmosphere in the stadium transformed into a jubilant dance party, stretching late into the night. Steve and Winnie capped off their victory with a treat—frozen yogurt—only to find themselves regretting their indulgence later on.
