On Boxing Day, Megha, a Chennai-based news reporter, begins writing a story about the mysterious death of Richie. The murder occurred during a Santa Claus parade in Thoothukudi, a port city she will later visit. Knowing Richie from their reform school days, Megha travels to Thoothukudi to investigate and begins interviewing people who knew him.

Megha learns from villagers that Richie was wrongly blamed for a classmate’s murder, a crime Raghu actually committed. The evidence shows the police framed Richie to close the case while Raghu vanished from the city. The revelation plants seeds of doubt about the official story and motivates Megha’s deeper inquiry.

After leaving reform school, Richie becomes the henchman of Annachi, the powerful fisherman don who controls the local underworld. With Annachi’s backing, Richie gains authority and handles operations that affect the port city’s people and resources. The alliance explains how Richie maintains influence despite his past.

Kaaka Peter discovers an ancient statue at sea and tries to sell it to a smuggler from Kolkata. Annachi learns of the find and orders Richie to locate Peter and seize the statue. The statue becomes a focal point that links local crime to international smugglers.

Raghu, returning from Kolkata after years away, steals the statue and comes back to Thoothukudi. He secretly meets his widowed mother Radha and promises to take her with him to Dubai for a new life. Raghu’s reentry injects new risk into Annachi’s network and the statue saga.

On Christmas Eve, Annachi learns that Peter sold the statue to a Kolkata smuggler who has reportedly returned to Thoothukudi. Radha informs Annachi that her long-lost son has just returned from Kolkata. Sensing a groove of coincidence, Annachi orders Richie to retrieve the statue, tightening the noose around Raghu and Peter.

That night, Richie tortures Peter on his boat to punish the betrayal and to remind everyone of his power. He makes it clear that his reform-school past still marks him, and he will enforce obedience. Raghu watches from the shadows as the situation grows grimmer for all involved.

On Christmas morning, Raghu steals the statue from Murugesh’s house and tries to flee with it, hoping to vanish with his mother. He is soon captured by Richie and his men, whose hold over the city only deepens. The tension tightens as the escape plan collapses.

While being driven toward the train station to reunite with his mother, Raghu becomes suspicious of Richie's motives and makes a violent move. He is killed by his childhood friend Murugesh, who is part of Annachi’s crew. Raghu’s body is disposed of at sea to hide the crime.

In the Boxing Day parade, Sagayam stops by Annachi’s house to bless his son, seemingly normal amid the mob, while Selvaa discovers Peter’s bloodied mask in Richie's jeep, signaling a murder. Selvaa shoots Richie on the parade route, and Murugesh shoots Selvaa in pursuit. The parade devolves into chaos as the truth edges closer to daylight.

As the chaos unfolds, another goon finds the statue and runs away with it, complicating who holds the power and what the city might lose or gain. Peter escapes captivity, while Murugesh is arrested for killing Selvaa. The tangled web of crimes pushes the story toward its resolve.

Peter, Murugesh, and Annachi narrate their versions of events to Megha, revealing the truth behind Richie’s death and the statue mystery. The city begins to understand the manipulation and alliances that led to the tragedy. The film closes with Megha piecing together the final, corroborated account.
