As they eagerly counted down the days until their release, Nick had been pouring his emotions into heartfelt letters to Ashley Mercer, despite never having met her in person. His dream was to connect with her right after getting out, while Rudy looked forward to reuniting with his family in Sidnaw to celebrate Christmas.

However, the universe had other plans in store for them. An unexpected and violent brawl broke out within the prison, leading to Nick’s untimely death as he heroically defended Rudy from danger. Upon his release, Rudy made the risky decision to take on Nick’s identity, reaching out to Ashley under his new facade. Despite Rudy’s fervent protests claiming he wasn’t Nick, Ashley dropped a shocking revelation: she had been aware of her brother’s intentions from the beginning and understood that he would exploit Rudy’s situation for his own benefit.

Facing the daunting prospect of being exposed if the truth came to light, Rudy chose to play along with the deception. He concocted a bold heist strategy, drawing inspiration from Nick’s tales during their time together behind bars and presented it to Gabriel. The gang leader demanded Rudy create a meticulous map of the casino, but Rudy cleverly feigned ignorance, stating that renovations had taken place since the casino’s opening.

As Rudy, cloaked in cowboy attire, ventured into the casino, he narrowly dodged detection by Jack Bangs, the manager. However, when Merlin discovered that the casino remained unchanged, Rudy felt like a fox ensnared in a trap. In a moment of desperation, he switched outfits with a college student, evading capture yet again.

The fateful heist reached its climax when Gabriel, Ashley, and the gang executed a disastrous takeover of the casino. Tragedy struck when Pug met his end in the count room. As he faced off against Gabriel, who was adamant about extracting answers through a game of darts, Rudy realized that the gang leader’s rants about his life further unraveled the delicate web of lies he had spun. Gabriel’s rage ignited as he demanded to know the location of the infamous “PowWow” safe. The presented chaos escalated when Jack accessed the safe, revealing firearms that sealed Jumpy’s fate. Amidst the ensuing panic, Jack also found a violent end during the shootout, while Rudy took swift action to neutralize Merlin.

As fate would have it, Gabriel and Ashley apprehended Rudy, binding him in their truck for a sinister plan to dispose of him by driving off a cliff in a blazing car filled with stolen loot. In a shocking twist, Ashley silenced Gabriel permanently before unmasking her true identity as Millie Bobeck, the mastermind orchestrating the heist, who had been colluding with Nick to enact this ambitious ploy, using Rudy as a pawn along with Gabriel and his crew. Just as they prepared to eliminate Rudy, Nick made a stunning reappearance, having faked his own demise earlier amidst the chaos.

Tethered to the steering wheel, Rudy, utilizing a hidden blade, managed to free himself, hotwiring the vehicle and reversing it to crush Nick’s legs beneath its wheels. In a desperate bid to thwart Rudy, Millie unleashed a hail of gunfire, but Rudy’s resilience prevailed as he rammed the burning vehicle into her, sending both cars over the cliff. Making a daring escape, Rudy discovered Nick trapped in the truck and made the decision to send it cascading into the abyss, leaving his former ally to face his fate alone.

With the ill-gotten gains in hand, Rudy began distributing the money anonymously on his way back home to Sidnaw, where he joyfully reunited with his family for a heartwarming Christmas dinner. As he shared his unexpected fortune, Rudy reflected on the significance of the holiday spirit this year, realizing he had finally discovered a place for appreciation amidst the joy and warmth of the season.
