Rebirth of Mothra II

Millions of years ago, Desghidorah arrives on Earth and battles the protectors of the Elias. The struggle ends with Desghidorah defeated and sealed beneath the planet's surface. The Elias—Moll, Lora, Belvera—and one Mothra survive to watch over the seal.

In the present, Mothra exhausts energy to lay an egg to preserve her species. A logging company uncovers Desghidorah's subterranean prison and breaks the seal, triggering the crisis. Moll and Lora sense something is wrong and travel to Japan to investigate.

One of the workers, Yuichi Goto, takes the seal home and gives it to his daughter Wakaba as a souvenir. This seemingly harmless act sets the stage for Belvera's manipulation to begin. The family becomes entangled in a danger they do not yet understand.

Belvera, believing humans are the enemy, controls Wakaba and uses her to torment Taiki. The siblings' lives are pulled into a growing conflict as Belvera's plans take shape. This marks the eruption of the crisis in the human world.

Moll and Lora, joined by a smaller Mothra named Fairy, confront Belvera over control of the artifact. Belvera prevails, maintaining control of the seal and the means to unleash Desghidorah. The confrontation centralizes around the fate of the seal.

Moll and Lora manage to befriend Taiki, Wakaba, and their mother. They travel toward the seal site in hopes of stopping Belvera before she can unleash Desghidorah. The group forms a tentative alliance against the looming threat.

Belvera releases Desghidorah and uses him to destroy humanity before the others can stop her. The dragon begins draining lifeforce from the environment, accelerating the catastrophe. The world trembles as the threat becomes immediate.

In response, Mothra is summoned to battle despite her weakened state. Her larva senses her mother's deteriorating strength and hatches prematurely to help in the fight. The confrontation pits ancient guardians against an unstoppable force.

Mothra's energized silk seems to turn the tide of the fight, but Desghidorah bites the larva and drains its energy. Desperate, Mothra airlifts her child to safety and lures the dragon toward a dam. The duel intensifies as nature itself becomes a weapon.

Desperate, Mothra lowers her child into the sea to keep it safe from Desghidorah. She collapses from age, wounds, and weariness and sinks to her death. The distraught larva watches its mother disappear beneath the waves.

Moll and Lora manage to take the seal back from Belvera and hand it to Taiki and Wakaba for safekeeping. They vow to search for the larva to ensure their friends' survival. The seal becomes the last hope against Desghidorah.

Belvera grows enraged and Desghidorah goes on a rampage across the region. Taiki and Wakaba witness the devastation, while Moll and Lora encourage the children not to lose hope. The crisis escalates but resilience remains.

A new Mothra emerges in her imago form and joins the battle against Desghidorah. She carries the legacy of her predecessors and fights with renewed purpose. The tide begins to turn as the guardian moth returns to combat.

Drawing on an ancient legacy, Mothra renews the seal that originally bound Desghidorah. The dragon is defeated and Earth is saved from imminent destruction. Belvera escapes, vowing revenge, as the immediate danger fades.

Mothra travels to her ancestral home, while Moll and Lora thank the children for their help. The group returns home to Infant Island with Fairy, carrying the hope that the guardians will remain vigilant. The world regains its balance, though the memory of loss lingers.
