Lieutenant Colonel Geeta Rani retires from the Indian Army and accepts the role of headmistress at a struggling government school in R. Puthur. She arrives with a clear mission to reform the neglected campus and uplift the education standards. Her appointment signals a turning point for the village's view of the school.

On arrival, Geeta Rani overhears locals speaking negatively about the school. She goes undercover to inspect the campus, staff, and environment. She discovers widespread neglect, lack of discipline, and deep-rooted corruption that hindered learning.

In a bid to admit a child, the Assistant Headmaster demands a bribe of ₹2,500 despite government school fees being only ₹230 per year. When challenged, he refuses to admit the child, highlighting the corrupt practices she aims to root out.

Geeta rings the school bell and assembles students and staff for a warming-up session, signaling disciplined routine. She confronts a nearby shop selling tobacco and gutka to students; when the shopkeeper resists, she destroys the toffee jars and warns him, forcing the shop to close.

She organizes a parents' meeting to secure community support for development and contacts the Public Works Department to send workers for cleaning and maintenance. The combined effort leads to refurbishment and renewed student interest in academics and extracurricular activities.

Ramalingam, chairman of the GSV Group of Schools, views her reforms as a threat and sends goons to attack the school. She bravely defends the campus and repels the assault, signaling a clash with vested interests.

Ramalingam files a fake complaint, triggering a surprise inspection by the District Collector. The Collector is impressed by the transformed school and praises Geeta Rani, advising her to remain steadfast in her reform efforts.

Geeta learns that 89 students in the 9th standard have failed. After hearing about a student suicide linked to academic pressure, she interrogates the teachers, who claim the students are 'good for nothing.' She disagrees, promoting them to the 10th standard and recognizing practical skills like masonry and welding.

During the summer break, Geeta returns to prepare for the SSLC exams. She meets Susheela, who is revealed to be Kathir's mother; Kathir being Geeta’s late boyfriend with whom she shared a dream of reforming education.

Geeta Rani is arrested for promoting failed students without permission. In response, students, parents, and staff protest in front of the police station, demanding her release and standing by her reforms.

The next morning, the SSLC results are announced: out of 82 students, 79 pass, and 14 score over 400 out of 500. The community celebrates the turnaround, seeing the fruits of Geeta Rani’s persistent efforts.

Geeta Rani’s transformation of the school is celebrated as one of the best in the state. She fulfills her and Kathir’s shared dream of quality education, proving that determination and reform can change a neglected institution.
