Vaani Chopra is found brutally murdered in her hotel room during the engagement night. Kartik Sharma is missing from the guest list, making him the prime suspect. Police arrive to start the investigation and begin gathering initial facts.

Detective Rajesh Ahlawat arrives at the scene and assumes control of the investigation. He coordinates witness interviews, follows leads, and tracks the progress of the case via regular updates. The investigation begins to focus on the dynamics between Vaani, Kartik, and the other attendees.

In a panic, Kartik runs through the city and hitches a ride in a passing car, hoping to avoid police involvement. He explains to the driver that he is in serious trouble and wants to stay out of the police spotlight. The driver, Manohar, urges him to seek help from the nearby king to resolve the situation.

CCTV footage from the engagement shows Rehan Mustafa confronting Kartik over his behavior toward Vaani. Rehan claims he did not kill Vaani and admits only a past relationship with her, saying he intended to apologise. The clip also shows Rehan approaching their room, but the footage ends abruptly.

A waitress testifies that Vaani was seen alive after Rehan walked toward their room, undermining the murder accusation against Rehan. She confirms that Rehan's plan was to apologise and not to harm them. This testimony helps shift suspicion away from Rehan.

As the car nears a police checkpoint, Kartik becomes anxious and the driver suggests he seek help from Raja Sujan Singh, who resides nearby. Arriving at the King's residence, Kartik learns his ex-girlfriend Vashuki is now the King's wife. She asks him to wait for the King’s return.

Kartik explains to Vashuki that he had been drinking and woke up with Vaani dead and a knife in his hand. He cannot recall what happened, nor can he be sure whether he killed Vaani.

Police determine through phone surveillance that Kartik could be hiding at the King's residence, and they head there to investigate. Rajesh meanwhile shares untold backstory about the murder, hinting that the King himself has been guiding the investigation.

Rajesh reveals that Vaani had an affair with Raja Sujan Singh a few days before the engagement, and that the King himself has been the source of updates about the case. This backstory explains the tension surrounding the murder and the motive.

Vashuki discloses that she killed Vaani in jealousy after discovering Vaani's affair with the King. She also claims to have killed the King moments before Kartik's arrival, with the help of a waitress. She shows Kartik a knife she claimed as a souvenir and reveals that his fingerprints were left on the blade.

As police close in, Kartik tries to violently strangle Vashuki, but she has already framed him for both murders. The police arrest him, sealing his fate as the primary suspect in Vaani's and the King’s deaths.
