Komban Babu, a notorious and influential toddy shop owner with a dark past of illegal activities, is found dead in his own establishment, hanging from the ceiling. Initially, everyone believes it to be a suicide, but Sub-Inspector Santosh begins to suspect otherwise as he starts investigating the scene and questioning everyone present that night—Kannan, Suni, Biju, Ceylon, and others. His detailed examination leads him to believe that the death was carefully planned and orchestrated, pointing toward murder.
Ceylon soon reveals a crucial piece of the puzzle: Merinda, the wife of Kannan, had once been involved in an affair with Babu. Kannan, who is physically disabled, knew about this relationship but was unable to act against the domineering Babu, which complicates the motives involved.
