Jeetu, a doppelganger of Bir Pratap, longs to wear the police uniform but cannot break into the system. He meets Anjali, a charismatic con artist who claims gemstone-based astrology can alter destiny and gives him a ring that supposedly has magical powers. The ring proves to be a gimmick, but it fuels Jeetu's hope.

Jeetu helps his brother-in-law Bhojon capture a dangerous convict, earning some attention but little lasting credit. Bhojon later seizes the spotlight at a press conference, leaving Jeetu feeling overlooked. This early setback sets the stage for his desperate bid to prove himself.

Ramkrishna watches the news and sees real potential in Jeetu, ordering him to impersonate Bir Pratap to imprison Joykrishna Ganguly. Jeetu accepts the dangerous assignment and travels to Selimpur to begin the ruse.

In Bir Pratap's disguise, Jeetu frees Joykrishna from Biswas and Mukherjee and escorts him to Ramkrishna. Ramkrishna betrays him in a single brutal stroke, stabbing Jeetu and exposing that Joykrishna is his brother.

In flashbacks, Biswas and Mukherjee are appointed as Bir Pratap’s aides by Anti-Corruption Bureau commissioner Kapuria to gather evidence of his corruption. Bir Pratap is shadowed by crooked Inspector Sarkar as he navigates a widening criminal web and a key kidnapping that ties Joykrishna to witness Gopal.

Bir Pratap strikes a deal with Joykrishna to hand over Gopal in exchange for a ransom, deepening his entanglement in crime. Debkrishna is eliminated, and Joykrishna stands trial for killing ACP Avinash; Gopal is the key witness.

Pradip Kumar Sarkar betrays Bir Pratap by selling crucial evidence for bribes. Joykrishna's gang retaliates by killing Bir Pratap's uncle and assaulting Bir Pratap and Gopal; Shruti and Gopal die in the chaos, and Bir Pratap escapes.

Bir Pratap kidnaps Joykrishna from P.K.'s custody, driving into the hills where his car explodes and he dies in a dramatic finale.

In the present, Ramkrishna fabricates evidence against the Chief Minister to seize power while Joykrishna continues to rule from within the system. Jeetu reconnects with Anjali, forges a fragile alliance with Bijoy, and uses a ring-camera to broadcast Ramkrishna's corruption. Kapuria uncovers that Jeetu and Bir Pratap are the same person, setting the stage for a climactic confrontation.

Jeetu defeats Joykrishna at his fortress and brings Ramkrishna to justice, delivering a hard-won victory for the city. The truth about Bir Pratap's life remains partly hidden to protect Jeetu, who survives with amnesia but chooses to marry Anjali and continue guarding Kolkata in a quiet, uneasy way.
