Pati Patni Aur Woh

Ranjeet is a new employee who rides a bicycle to work. He accidentally collides with Sharda, causing her bicycle to be badly damaged, and he offers to drop her off. This chance encounter sets the stage for a bond that soon leads to marriage.

Ranjeet attends his friend's wedding where Sharda is present. Their instant attraction grows into love, and they marry shortly thereafter.

Over a few years, Ranjeet becomes a Sales Manager and they welcome a son. The couple enjoys a period of marital bliss, sharing a comfortable home and a sense of stability. To outsiders, their life appears perfectly harmonious.

Sharda meets a new secretary, Nirmala, at the company and Ranjeet is immediately attracted to her. He privately fantasizes about a different life and begins plotting to pursue her while keeping his marriage intact. He even pretends to be the grieving husband of a cancer-stricken wife to gain Nirmala's sympathy.

One day, Ranjeet tells Sharda he will be late due to a meeting and escorts Nirmala to dinner. The following day, Sharda discovers Nirmala's lipstick-marked handkerchief in Ranjeet's pocket, a clear sign of his closeness to her. She confronts him, and he fabricates a story about a coworker whose handkerchief he might have borrowed.

Ranjeet creates two identical poetry books, one with Nirmala's name and one with Sharda's. This cheeky ploy allows him to express affection to both women without them noticing the other. He uses the ruse to keep a foothold in both relationships.

Ranjeet continues courting Nirmala without Sharda's knowledge. The turning point comes when Sharda sees him in a hotel with Nirmala. She questions him about the meeting, and he lies, deepening her suspicions.

Sharda begins spying and gathers incriminating photographs. She secretly meets Nirmala, posing as a journalist, to uncover the truth. Nirmala initially thinks Sharda intends to blackmail her, but Sharda reveals that she is Ranjeet's wife and has proof.

Ranjeet receives another promotion and hurries home to boast. Sharda reveals the evidence and confronts him, clearly busting his affair in front of their friend. The friend defends Ranjeet and lies about Nirmala's character, complicating the betrayal.

Sharda demands a choice between her and Nirmala. Ranjeet offers money to Nirmala to end the affair, but Nirmala returns the money to Sharda, making him look even worse. This backfires and increases the pressure on Ranjeet.

Sharda prepares to walk out on Ranjeet, and Nirmala resigns from her job. Their son asks what is happening, highlighting the family's pain.

Sharda decides to give Ranjeet another chance, at least for their son's sake. Life begins to regain a sense of normalcy, though under a cloud of caution.

A new secretary joins the office, and Ranjeet resumes his old patterns. Before he acts again, a warning from his friend makes him back off, signaling a fragile end to the cycle of temptation.
